Some skills questions around dual wielding and medics

Hi all
Scorp is doing a great job rounding up the questions for CMON, and rather than spam that thread with a question to which there may be an official answer, thought I would post them here first: ( along with my completely unofficial thoughts )

1) Can you dual wield odd combinations of the 'red circled weapons' in unison and use as one action e.g. a sawn-off and an UZI,( 2 different firearms ), or a sawn-off and a machete ( 1 and 1 )? Or do the icons have to be identical ? ( My thoughts - I haven't done this, but it seems logical, although maybe Gunslinger/Swordmaster/Ambidextrous was designed for this ? )
2)
Gunslinger: The Survivor treats all Ranged weapons as ifthey had the Dual symbol
Does this skill the allow odd combination of firearms, as the skill states that they are treated as if they have all four red icons ? Similarly does Swordmaster allow the allow mix n match all melee weapons, or do they have to be the same ? ( My gut feel on this is 'yes' )
3) Ambidextrous - dual wield anything with anything ? ( My gut says yes, as you can then 'do an Ash' and have a sawn-off / chainsaw combo. However see [5] below )
4) Swordmaster - are two chainsaws allowed ? ( My gut feel on this is 'yes' as it is OOT and fits with the genre )
5) Gunslinger - are two sniper rifles allowed ? Or sniper rifle plus another firearm ? ( My gut feel on this is 'no' as it doesn't feel right, apart from the fact it is nigh on impossible. There again, so is the chance that zombies will walk the Earth, right ? :p )

Thoughts guys ?

On the subject of the Medic skill
Medic: Once per turn, the Survivor can remove one Woundedcard from a Survivor that is in the same Zone as him. He
may also heal himself.
Does this mean that the Medic heals
i) one person per turn, or
ii) one person PLUS themselves per turn ?

Firstly, have a cookie for being about the only person to actually take note of my request not have discussion in my Questions for Guillotine Game thread! :D

Now, regarding dual-wield, Gunslinger, Swordmaster, and Ambidextrous:

Page 12 of the PDF Rulebook says:

Page 12 of the Zombicide PDF Rulebook said:
If the active Survivor has two identical weapons with the Dual symbol, he can use his two weapons at the same time at the cost of a single Action.

So, to dual-wieldable the two weapons must be identical and have the dual-wield symbol, not just have the dual-wield symbol.

And, pages 15, and 16 of the PDF Rulebook says, in regard to Ambidextrous, Gunslinger, and Swordmaster:

Page 15 and 16 of the Zombicide PDF Rulebook said:
Ambidextrous: The Survivor treats all Melee and Ranged weapons as if they had the Dual symbol.

Gunslinger: The Survivor treats all Ranged weapons as if they had the Dual symbol.

Swordmaster: The Survivor treats all Melee weapons as if they had the Dual symbol.

So, they only add the dual-wield symbol to weapons that otherwise don't have have it, they do not allow non-identical weapons to be dual wielded.

To me there's no ambiguity here, so if you add it to my Questions... thread, I won't add it to the OP (unless further posts in this thread prove otherwise).

And, thirdly, regarding the Medic skill:

Page 16 of the Zombicide PDF Rulebook said:
Medic: Once per turn, the Survivor can remove one Wounded card from a Survivor that is in the same Zone as him. He may also heal himself.

I read that as meaning they can remove one wounded card per turn, that wounded card may be from either another Survivor in the same zone as them, or themselves.

(I also find it slightly ironic that they use the word 'he' when the only official survivor, thus far, with the Medic skill is Amy!)

I can see that there is some ambiguity in the wording of the Medic skill though, so you could add it to my Questions... thread.

Cookie taken cheers :) Thanks for spotting the identical weapons ref too ! Personally I have a major problem with two sniper rifles being fired off as one action, but that is the rules, and I may houserule it, so that you can fire both as rifles using Gunslinger/Ambidextrous, but not both as sniper rifles.

I also think that is how the Medic rule works ( that is how I used it, but there is an element of doubt, so a quick clarification from CMON won't harm, I will add that, cheers

Well yeah, I had a doubt on those skills a few days back. Then I thought, regarding gunslinger, what if I got a pistol and a sawed-off, they don't hit on the same results (pistol on 4+, sawed-off on 3+) so you'd have to throw two hands of dices, doesn't make sense

So no, just identical weapons.

Oh and regarding your doubts about dual wielding a sniper rifle, good luck dual wielding a pump action shotgun :D

Good point mate around the different die results required, as it will cut the flow a bit. It would give me an excuse to use all of the different dice sets I purchased ( now why the heck did I do that anyway :p ?! )

As for the twin shotguns, I could almost imagine them being being sorted, one on each hip. That is also probably impossible, but would at least look cool. Staring down two sniper sights just seems plain odd. I am expecting twin M16's and M60's to turn up at some point, and probably a Chaingun, so what the heck eh ? :D
