很好!

The NMM is just phenomenal. I like the strong color differentiation between the bronze and the gold, and the glowing blue effect on the knife in his belt is top notch. My only critique is that the cloth around his waist is a bit too similar in color to those used in the gold on the hilt of the weapons around his belt and on his bracelet.

谢谢 D a n!

For the color of the cloth I am on the way to change it, actually I started with it but change too many thing to let it that way. Still not sure which color I will use! Let's see... I have added some small freehand, I will update the WIP soon!

I vote for TMM if that's where you feel that you need some practice. Furthermore I'd like to add my voice to those praising the work on Vorak's skin, and I'm looking forward to seeing that effect over the whole mini. 对了,你是中国人吗?
我不是中国人,是法国人。
Sorry i didn't see your post... I went toward NMM, it is true i need practice with TMM but i will pick another mini.

Here some update, something disturb me... I still don't know with which color i will change the cloak and not a big fan of the overall color scheme

Ah, 我也不是中国人, 是美国人. 我在大学学中文,可是我一个学期学习了. 你在哪儿学了中文?

As for our main man Vorak, he keeps looking better and better. That bracelet and glowing dagger look even better from that last angle, and the subtle color work you've done with the skin (which no doubt took a long time). I feel your dissatisfaction with the overall color scheme is just due to that cloth, which as you already plan to change it I might recommend making a dark red color to tie in what you did on those cheek-guards on his helmet.

Finally, do you plan on doing anything extra with that mace? It looks like it could use some textured rust of some kind, which would be best achieved with some pigments. Do you have any?

Where are you studying? In China? Shanghai? Beijing? I am actually living and working in Shanghai with my family...
For Vorak I am really struggling, still like that cloth but it is true it doesn't fit with the rest... I will see what I can do... For the mace, I have only put some layers of rust colors (scorched brown, Vermin brown, and blazing orange).
I also started the base of Vorak... Let's see, will post new Vorak pictures tonight...

So I have also started Eclipsante with the general color scheme, purple cloth, deep red hair, light blue skin and NMM for the rest, what do you think?:

As promised here my evening update, Vorak on his base (no glued yet). As advised, I have changed the color of the cloth to dark red with dark blue shade and ocre highlight.
Hope you will like it on its base when finished...

Ok, I have worked on some parts of Eclipsante. I have decided to bring more details with the color used, it will also be useful for records and if someone wants to apply the same scheme, just go for it.
I have slightly improved the cloth part (Screamer pink as base), more constrast, with deeper shadows (Naggaroth night then with a bit of Chaos black) and more highlights (ulthuan grey) and warmer mid colors (base mixed with sunburst yellow).
Also painted with better definition the straps in front view around her waist (Snakebite leather, screaming skull and scorched brown with mid color glaze of catachan green).
Then tried some NMM gold on the protection parts (bubonic brown as base, snakebite leather, scorched brown, then black for shadow, highlight in space wolf grey and white scar).
I have also worked on the skin, Space wolf grey + shadow grey, then shadowed with some Mechrite red (really nice color by the way)

Do you have any comments for improvements? What do you like? what you don' t? Just shoot it, I will be really glad to get some comments on the progress.
(Sorry for the background, a bit distracting I know... But it is just some WIP pics)

The material is looking great I would try and stick some underlighting in it as well if possible.

Kudos for having another bash at the None Metal Metal. Just a quick bit of feed back I like the colour choice you've used for the gold it's got the right richness and depth. One thing though you need to extend the dark shading along the length of any glints. For example the top part of the greave on the knee you have the highlite correctly running along the edge but you in my opinion need to contrast it with black all along the same highlite. Here is a link to some excellent gold None Metal Metal to show what I mean.

All in all an excellent piece of work:good:

I come back on a mini I have finished few months ago and already submitted... and got a comment on CoolMiniOrNot telling me that it would be cool to get a hand coming out of the water... But my sculpting skills are far to be good.

I finally decided to give it a try... It seemed quite easy, I told myself 'come on, it is only a hand, even a kid can do it', it was not that easy. I had to try 4 time before to get something looking OK. I tried first out of green stuff, didn't work, sticky deform easily, etc... then tried out from sculpey, much better, but I don't have oven so I boiled it and it worked but got too fragile and broke down, not so sad because the sculpt was really so so. I have tried again without success. Again patience was the trick, simply don't rush. I often saw and quickly read on the sculpture post that use metal wire for your main shape, then cover it with green stuff, then other softer material. So I gave it a try, I used metal wire, green stuff, waited 24h then use firm sculpey, then steam 10 min, voila...
I have also added some sticky green slimy stuff coming out from my nurgle on the ground...
I have taken a quick snap shot with ipad, I will update my submission in the gallery when everything finish

Ok, after a small break here I come... So I have finalized my Dark Eldar Mandrake, I will post a picture tomorrow... No base yet.
I have worked on Eclipsante and followed the advice of AndyG for the gold NMM, it does look better now! Thank you Andy, I will post a picture too...

But I have started Simon's miniatures (Egotyk) from this thread http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums/showthread.php?51445-SIMONMINIATURE-New-s-Work

Really nice sculpt, here my first steps, the pictures are not so good, but I had to post picture:

That's looking great already. Simon's sculpts are awesome. I've emailed him about getting a goliath. Such a nice mini!

I can already see some nice colour variations going. Looks to be a corker!
