Great Jigsaw Puzzle

Don't know if anyone else here is a jigsaw puzzle fan, but I have to rave
about a puzzle I received Xmas of 2011 and built last winter. It's glued
and hanging in my hobby room.

It's a tarot collage. 2000 pieces. Very manageable.

Ravensburger is one of 2 or 3 companies that makes first quality puzzles.

I mention it know because I noticed it was on EBay ( also Amazon )

Looks pretty interesting. But I don't understand why you glue a puzzle? I know some people do it, I just don't really understand why. If it's a really good puzzle you could build again.

I'm colour blind so puzzles like that do my head in

I usually do a puzzle once. I've done a few twice.
I donate them to the local hospitals and rehabs when I'm done.

If I really like the pic and it's not too big, I'll glue it and hang it.
That's rare. But I really like this one in the hobby room.

This one is next. At 4000 pieces and ( 136 cm x 96 cm) ( 53.5" x 37.5" )
it will take quite a while of spare time.

I've done a couple of puzzles that were so nice when we were done that we glued & framed them. Folk art kinda stuff.

Ah but the 'Newness' is gone then Sven.
To me that could be compared to painting a figure for a competition, winning said comp then 2 years later deciding "Oh I'm bored with that colour scheme I'll strip it and repaint it".

As to glueing it, well there is a market (collectables) for such things the older the better of course. {Hey theres a market for everything -- Rule 34}

For me it'd more like painting another version of the miniature because I really liked the miniature. In puzzles even more then miniatures, for me, it's the path that is interesting not as much the end result.

I understand the decoration aspect though, if it's a really nice puzzle.
