Yea, i would also make it more glossy and translucent. It wouldn't call it blood just yet, I would mix some really vibrant red with black en put in a little gloss medium and maybe some transparent glue, this really makes it into a mess as you want to let it look like 'fresh' blood.
But the cloak is really good, I like it a lot. she is one hell of a looker. I hope I can get my hands on one in the future, I miss the restock every time :p

Work kicked my ass, so i didn't get much more done by the deadline and posted it. I'll put her on the cmon gallery for voting when i have more time.

Thanks everyone for all the input. I really appreciated it. No one told me 25 years ago when i started getting into this stuff I'd have to learn the second "hobby" of photography. Thank you Tryst for your assistance on that subject. I have a lot to learn on that front. I'm happy with her though.

Now i can get back to Black Tinkerbell, the busts, and Morte, who has been primed and ready to go for month on my desk. Her sister has arrived also....and the nurgle army, and space wolves, dark angels, confrontation wolfen, malifaux on and on...

Ya know i'm starting to think i might have too much stuff.

Na :)

Sorry for the late reply 10 ball, that made me feel a lot better :)

Soooooooo....I have been feeling Dark Angels lately. And started working on one of the DV squads. Unfortunetly i can't find the start of my wip picks so I'll just throw what i been working on up here. I decided that they needed a rhino/razorback (when done it will be able to be either one). Primed and ready for a base coat:

IMG_0728.jpg

After that all dried I Broke out the Dagr and started base coating it. Overall it went really nice IMHO:

IMG_0743.jpg

IMG_0744.jpg

I then decided to refresh the paint job on the land raider for my original DA army 15+ years ago and spruce it up a bit:
IMG_0731.jpg

Before yall say something about the heavy bolter, it is perma glued. I didn't know better back then :)

Base coats looked nice and even so i threw the WIP squad with its rhino to see how they looked:
IMG_0737.jpg

Lookin sexy to me! I'm not going to fool myself into thinking i'm going all out on these guys. I'm going for a nice tabletop standard to get them on the board but they are far from done. I grabbed the Vet sergeant and worked on his face a little:
IMG_0740.jpg

IMG_0741.jpg

I'm trying to keep to only a few projects and get them completed before i go on to the next thing. Wish me luck on that please...

So yeah......... i started working on Morte also :
IMG_0713.jpg

IMG_0716.jpg

Threw on some color:
IMG_0714.jpg

And done a bit to her hair and got some more base coats on....
IMG_0718.jpg

Not sure i like where i am going with this yet and i am trying some new techniques that aren't going like they are supposed too. I also had some trouble with one of her arm pieces...just seemed like the paint just would not stick no matter what i tried(washed and scrubbed as always before starting). I Got her sister Diane too, but i WILL wait to get her started.

Anyways more soon i hope. Feedback is always welcome.

I always like how you group things in themes and stay on theme. It must really make life easy. As a matter of fact I think your theme is Moes random and chaotic wonderland. I love it sir. Keep it coming.

I like " random and chaotic wonderland".

Moe, you are becoming a painting machine. And good luck on completing things before starting a new project. Lol;)

If you manage staying on track let the rest of us know how you do it ! Does she hold somthing over her chest as I noticed a dip in her boobs ? Wish I could paint this fast.

Thanks for the better thread name fella's! And thank you DR for changing it for me. Dunno why you guys think i paint fast. I think a herd of turtles could be faster then me.

@WGS She and her sister model sit on a chalice. On her she sits with her knee against her chest hence the dip. Picture is worth a thousand words of course:

Small update. I have been sick today so i didn't do very much. I "masked" the rhino to do some different colors. I never realized how much of a challenge that would be in and of itself. It's a lot harder then it looks! So yeah... there IS a rhino in there somewhere:

IMG_0748.jpg

The reds went on really nice and i tried watering my paints down even more for the airbrush. That of course ment the paint took longer to dry and more layers but the AB didn't clog once (also started using needle juice). I will probably being using a closer to water mix for everything else in the future as well.
IMG_0751.jpg

Same with the yellow on the door. It will have caution stripes when its done...i hope.
IMG_0753.jpg

i have not done any touch ups but here it is without the tape and with the squad:

Man - that's why even tabletop level armies rock. They look soo good painted. Keep it up Moe. I'm going to need to ask you about airbrush ratios when I get back to Francesca - the paint wasn't going on smoothly, which is part of the reason I stopped.

Thanks for the pic moe the dip now makes sense ! Have you tried watering your paints with surgical spirit, this makes the paint dry quicker when hitting the model as the alcohol evapourates quicker .

@Tryst- Anytime my friend, just let me know. I'd really like to see her done up by you. Personally i have fallen in love with the Hanna Justina Marseille GK and will start on her when she arrives sometime at the end of the year.

@WSG- No sir, i am trying to do everything i can to avoid anything that might cause fumes as my paint room is not well ventilated nor fireproof :p I can actually speed up the drying time with the airbrush itself. It's just annoying. that is also the reason i havn't tried using my oil paints yet.

Small update:
Still feeling kinda puny but i did fix the overspray marks and started working on some details on the rhino. i also touched up the squad a bit more but waiting till i do more with it before i'll take some picks:
IMG_0763.jpg

Time for some black stripes:
IMG_0762.jpg

IMG_0764.jpg

IMG_0766.jpg

In hindsight it would have been easier if i had thought of that before glueing on the doors /shrug. live and learn.

Worked on skull takers cloak a tad since i was using the same base colors as Blackbeards shoulder things, whatever they are called:

Speaking of Blackbeard...

More later.

You certainly do not disappoint and stay right on with the new name. The large model is looking very nice, I just really dislike the anime faces so many of them have. Blackbeard looks especially promising. Look at this box art for the Young Miniatures version of blackbeard for a little inspiration. http://www.young-miniatures.com/products/YH1823/YH1823-1.htm it's truly a work of art.

Keep up the chaotic work sir, it always leads to great things from you.

@Milosh-It's truly a work of art is an understatement. Holy Cow that thing is awesome. Thank you for that link, even though my skills are far from that, it was a joy for my eyes.

@KB- Thanks man.

Ok i have a weird question for anyone who has posted to their gallery for voting. Do i have to have credits to do it? Or do i just upload what i got as they aren't going to be auctions? I haven't added anything to my gallery since 2004 (lol). I'd like to change that to see if my skills are going the right direction. My profile says i have 8 images, out of a maximum of 1100 and 21 credits.

Just upload. Credits only apply to auctions and features (I think). I've never had to use a credit, and I post things now and then.

Thanks tryst I'll give that a whirl soon.

Small update:
worked on the DA icons on the rhino, so far so good:
IMG_0768.jpg

IMG_0769.jpg

Worked on Skulltaker's Cloack some more and his other skulls:
IMG_0770.jpg

IMG_0771.jpg

I forgot to paint the spinal column while i was doing the skulls /facepalm

And worked on ye ole Blackbeards shoulder things, and since i had the white paint out i did a bit to the eyes. He looks kinda sad atm but that will be fixed later:
IMG_0772.jpg

Speaking of white, I bought the army painter white and black and i must say i really enjoy their white very much.

More later

here's some more info that might help in painting eyes. It is fom the same artist who painted the blackbeard boxart.

http://blog.naver.com/hecklerkoch go near the bottom to the SBS guide to painting. The first box that shows the black primed head is where you should start. Amazing stuff.

That's some crazy cool awesome stuff Milosh, I wish i had seen that years ago. Thank you, but i don't think i'll be at that level for a long time :)

Small update, as i haven't felt like painting much since the work rotation ended:
Worked on Raistlin's robes a bit more. I think i'm done with the robes. How do they look to you guys?

IMG_0773.jpg

And started the bases for the DA squad. i will be doing some weathering on the rhino, but nothing fancy:
