looks like you got it figured out :) how much are you planning to paint before assembly? according to my own experiance it's not the easiest thing to build, especially with a very dynamic pose so i advice to assembly as much as possible prior painting. then again i might just suck with super glue lol

Yes. You are right is not so easy to assemble, but for my plan is much more important to paint easily the single part working with the color modulation.
I've already do a assaembly test using bluetac....i need to do another one to check the pose and the occupied space on the base.... so i can plan the right step to build the model.

I did one of these for my games day entry last year (going to rework the base for this year and re-enter). I assembled the legs, torso and backpack as one section and then the arms as another. Some of the joins aren't quite as snug as they could be so I used araldite in preference to superglue (which needs a really secure fit and the fumes can stain).

Like what you've done so far. Not entirely sure about the black showing through for the shadow, but that's probably just me :)

What is araldite ?

It's a two-part epoxy glue, I tend to use the 5 minute setting version. Araldite is the branded name but most diy places have their own version of it. I find it useful if there are two components that don't have an exact fit (it's really thick and fills gaps), plus it doesn't have the nasty fumes that superglue does.

Thanks. I'll try to find it.

Just few steps forwards...

I've just finished to paint the amour (with color modulation) and the metallic parts. Then assembled legs and harms....and see how to fit everything on the new enlarged base.

Nice pic, from the HH betrayal book isnt it?
I was just wondering as i painted mine a bit more into the grey than white but that was just to add a bit more depth/variation in colour. Always nice to know the thought processes going into a mini :)
Look forward to seeing the finished article
