:) Hope you have a great day! I must get to visiting UK again. I'm hoping for Euromilitaire and UKGD this fall.

What a BELTING day Yesterday was!

Starting off with a lovely Hotel Receptionist, fine weather, the DLR train driver having a sense of humour, getting to the Excel centre and No Massive Queue, then all the TOYS!
Man this years show had some FANTASTIC sculpts on offer, Black Scorpion going from strength to strength, McVey Studios, Tercio Ceativio, Origin, Freebooter, Eden Miniatures, Infamy, War_Griffin. Its a good job I'd decided to put a limit on my spending as it was I was seriously tempted to hit the cash machine up for even more money.

Add into that meeting up with friends it was a great day, even if I did drop one of my figures and chipped the paintwork at the competition entry. No one to blame for that but my own fat fingers. Still picked up Finalist Certificate for one of the other pieces I put in.

Yep a damn fine day had by me. Loads of cool minis bought top tips from world class painters, excellent competition very high bar.....I saw your stuff there sprocket!! That tomb king looks better in real life than on the gallery I didn't get a finalist cut this time but that will not dampen my enthusiasm for the comp will be back there next year swinging away.

It also was a nice bonus that virgin mobile had there expo next door; I have never seen so many scantily clad 20 something hostesses parading by ;)

I didn't really get to explore the show, but I did chat to a ton of people from behind my stand and that made the day super awesome! Thanks to everyone who popped by. :D

scantily clad 20-something virgins?
Yes and that was just the Gamers!!!

There were several very attractive young ladies working at some of the stalls, yet another means of attracting customers.
BLACK SCORPION were seriously guilty of using that particular marketing ploy, not that I am complaining as she has a great sense of humour to go with the looks.
To use my dad's expression "a right little sparkler!".

Had a good day at salute, the standard of sculpts and quality of product available from small independents seems to have risen by a huge margin in only twelve months. Great variety and lots of great enthusiastic people. Spent far too much and that only ended at that point because I don't get paid til Thursday. It was funny how quiet the forgeworld stand was and the reduced amount of GW product for sale from retailers, guess the times they are a changing.

I had a great time although sadly didn't meet any CMON regulars! I did however chat to the legendary Thomas David and JAG, met the wonderful Vermis and Andrew May as well as the dudes at British Indie. All in all a great day!

I had a great day. Also didn't see any cmon people, or if I did I didn't recognise them. Except for Infamy-James that is. And finally have a retort to the nudge about the different amount of minis we paint, "yeah, well, some of us clearly need the practice." ;)

Did catch up with half a dozen mates fom my GW days though. Been on a high since. :)

Picked up a few goodies, but not enough. next year I'll try to be better organised. Plotting out intriguing stalls and game tables, and even shoving sumat in the painting comp'. Should save me from another dose of what I call "museum legs". That staring at one picture, shuffling to the next to stand a while, another step or two and stand. Doing that around the stalls kills me.

Great day! Much busier than last year! At least on the mcvey stand. Great time playing sedition wars with everybody I met as well. Sorry I couldn't socialize more. :)
