... Formula P3 pots. Please see the picture below if you aren't sure what that means.

I have been looking around and I can't seem to find any at all. I know a lot of you guys like the dropper bottles, but I like the flip tops with the rubber lids.

I was wondering if anyone knew of a site online selling mixing pots like the Formula P3 ones of if maybe anyone had some old empty formula P3 pots? I would be more than willing to buy them if you are in the US or canada via Paypal. I am looking for at least 10 of them but would take more.

something like this:

http://www.sks-bottle.com/340c/fin24k.html

I also got a bunch at Michaels which is the crappy generic craft store where i live. I use them for the airbrush

I have used those but the paint mixes just don't last in them. Really looking for something with a rubber lid, the seal on them are the best. I am tempted to just buy some FP3 paints just for the bottles at this point. hah.

I have emailed them, they have no plans on selling mixing bottle nor can they tell me where to order the ones they use. Kinda sucks.

Those solvent containers look like the typical plastic flip tops I have tried before. Does anyone here use them? If so how long do they keep paints?

Seems like you've ordered already so this might be a bit late for now, but in case it's of use for the future see if you can source some 35mm film canisters locally. They're far less common these days than they once were but any place that develops film is likely to have a bunch of them.

Most plastic film canisters feature a good enough seal that acrylic paint can keep in them for years.

Best part is they're free. But if you needed to buy a large number in one go there are suppliers selling them in 50s and even 100 or more on eBay.

Though the eye dropper type paint pots are all the rage now I still have an original Citadel Dwraf Bronze in the black flip top that's still useable. They just don't make them like they used to!

I can't stand dropper bottles. I either end up using too much or too little which ends up being too much after I add more. And quite frankly, they do not keep paint as long as people think that do. I have several Vallejo's that dried out in less than 2 years. I do have like 15 of those old citadel colour bottles with the original paint still in them and I have NEVER had to thin them at all. Have even transferred new paint into empty ones that have kept for going on 10 years now.

So don't attempt to drop the paint directly into the mix pile. It's far better to have drops/puddles of each of the mix ingredients off to the sides that you dip into when doing a mix.

Teflon tape will help with that. It's very cheap now, so no reason not to have airtight seals on any threads these days :)
