Hello to all
I'm Zappaforchrist and this is my first post.
I wanted some advice to buy the brushes 5/0 and 10/0.
In my town does not have any shop and the last purchase made on ebay (loved) was bad. The brushes are like roses bloom in spring after a few uses.
I therefore ask you where can I find the brushes that do not forsake me after a couple of uses
Thanks in advance to all who respond

Buenvenuto.

To be honest 5/0 an 10/0 aren't really going to be cost effective, from experience the level of detail you expect to achieve against the paint capacity of the brushes doesn't balance out. Better to get a good 2/0 or 3/0 (Raphael 8404) and learn to work with those sizes.

I agrre with Dragonsreach, the smaller size can´t hoild enough paint usually and therfore moire difficult to use and result dont get so small that you wish.

I wanted to start making small decorations on banners and shields and with the 3/0 I have not gotten good results. I love the people of the dwarves and I'm building my army and with a 5/0 or 10/0 maybe I can make small runes on the contours.
For the rest of the details I find good brushes LEONARDO.
Thank you very much for your answers guys.

Have a 3/0 raphael and a 6/0 and 10/0 rosemary and co. The 3/0 raphael is lovely, get a lot more use out of it than either the 6/0 or the 10/0.

The number of bristles doesn't actually contribute to how small you can paint, it's actually the tip of the brush. I have a Rosemary & Co. #1 that has a tip that's finer than some of the 2/0 I've had in the past. As a couple of people have said, the biggest problem with small brushes when painting with Acrylics is that they only hold a small amount of paint which means that it dries out really quickly. When you're painting fine detail you need to be able to make flowing strokes rather than keep going back to the palette for more paint. I'm guessing that brushes that small are really intended for paints that have a much longer drying time.

Pretty positive that Rosemary & Co ship to Europe: http://www.rosemaryandco.com/

Not sure on Raphael in Europe however as my Google is set to UK ;) Amazon would be my first port of call!

I order my 8404 Rafaels from mail order Dick Blick Art Supplies but sure other wholesalers carry them as well. The also carry Series 7 Windsor Newtons.
