I like him :) On the next mini like him you might want to try some of the Tamyia clears like the red, yellow or green for some blood & gore FX on the intestines and around decaying areas. Practice on a few junk minis first because it's so easy to go too far with gore and ruin a mini, which I have done myself a few times - yes, I have trouble learning from my own past mistakes :(

Thanks Zab and DR.. I appreciate your feedback! I'm going to look through the "waiting to be started" pile of minis and see if I can find another undead one to practice that on.

Been racking my brain trying to remember where I saw a SBS on painting an undead figure which started off from an unexpected colour (IIRC Yellow Ochre) I vaguely remember it was brought out to a really good effect. That's gonna bug me for a awhile now as well!

Can't tell what the cameras done to the skin's washed out the contrast or if you need more. I'm going to go out on a limb and say that your flesh needs a bit more contrast. Your guts and that whole ragged area could get picked out more. Maybe rim it with a brighter blood color, or just gloss it with something. Your toes are just a flat white, so maybe go back over them, with a yellowish rotten toe color and leave the white for the tips of the toenails.

Your blades look excellent tho, very cool effect.

I have to agree with Zomnivore's comments that it is slightly difficult from the photo but it looks like the skin needs more contrast. I would also suggest that the skin looks a little healthy for one of the undead. Some greens and/or purples would assist in generating a look of decay. I don't want to be too critical as its by no means a bad effort overall.
