Meh when i see manuscript level illumination on the codex he's holding with detail down to the individual cursive script in high gothic THEN I'll see something worthy of a true SkelettetS. ;)

Very nice Skelettet. The freehand evokes an awesome heavy embroidered cloak....and the Gothic lettering will look great on the book pages. ;) lol

water base wip shots! of different quality! just to point out, i was soo carefull, even greenstuffed all the joints before adding the WE, and it still bloody leaked! saveable though :) better fin-photos can be posted soon i hope. perhaps.

anyway, without commenting too much...

it has actually been sanded in the sides a bit more as it became littlebit oval. im pretty pleased though, not an easy scale. the surface got some vallejo water effect after the last image here is taken, also a little plants and leafs and stuff :)

Did you get some of the other scenic water stuff Skel? Much better on the nose!
Around the seam to get a good seal use a cable tie/zippy strap to lock it together (works real good on a circular base)

Pictish Mini Painting

I'm actually a man!
That's a nice effect, I have about 5 water effect products to try, one comes in a big tin with a small bottle of hardener!!

Hot glue gun I find works well, its really good for resin casting moulds.

That base looks really nice skel. I think it would have looked even better with the surface somewhat lower, but then again maybe that would diminish the detail in the underwater environment.

I've personally only used water effects by painting a simulated "depth" and then covered it in water effect to make a surface.

yeah, a lot better to the nose! for good or bad its also a bit more viscous, watery, than my old product. easier to pour but also to leak obviously. and, it dries not so rock solid, easier to sand afterwards. the cable tie is a good idea, should had tought about that one!

the old product i used also came in a big tin and a small bottle hardener. might be the smelly one. anyway, you should try it out, pretty fun! just be sure to seal the "mould", and seal it real good.

yeah i agree on both points, for the composition it had been better with less depth. but then again, it had lost the point a little.

Wow, great base man. I've been itching to try me a water base.

go for it! :) thanks!

Very very nice!

I'm trying to fit those glass beads in my mind. I thought about exudate, that seeps from every crack and then pearls on the skin. But then maybe the beads should have been yellowy white. But maybe it's exudate mixed with a little blood?

Anyway, wings looking great. Good choice of colour to break off the turquoise, and still not steal the show.
