Hi,

I'm going to London on the end of the month and I would like to buy some minis but most of all, an airbrush. Which stores do you recommend?

Thanks

If you happen to be in the Waterloo area there is a shop called ""Dark Sphere" right next to the station. They have tables if you fancy a game session too. They stock a fair few ranges if I remember rightly.

Dark Sphere was the only store I went to in London and I can say that it is a very nice store. I wasn't looking for a airbrush, so I can't say for sure if they have them, but they had a lot of stuff, I wouldn't doubt it (and if they don't, they'll know where to get one). If you are going, Google Map them or get the address from their site. Don't go to where the GW site says they are. They moved recently and GW hasn't updated it yet.

The orcs nest is ok more of a gaming d and d shop but they do stock a wide range of minis and paints

The orcs nest
6 Earlham St, London
020 7379 4254.

tbh though I buy everything online these days rather than shops. One of my favourites is the troll trader damn fine online shop.

Thanks for the tips.

I tend to go to shops when I travel. Back home in Portugal we only find either very expensive minis like Andrea or Pegasus or fashionable ones, like GW or Warmachine. So, I like to see if I can find good deals for interesting minis, the weirder the better, that I know I can't find back home.

Well not so much these days, we called in on the Friday before Salute and yes they have a large rack of Reaper Bones, but that's it now for figures. The welcome is still as friendly.

It's been awhile since I've been in London and I'm not sure about the specific stuff you are asking about, but if you are in the area check out Forbidden Planet. It is one of the coolest sci-fi / fantasy shops that stocks figures books DVDs and such like. It is quite pricey but if you have the time it is well worth a look..

Forbidden Plant caters more to Books/Comics/Props/Collectables, they don't really do anything modelling related. Still it's a pretty awesome place to drain your bank account!

Thanks for all the suggestions :) Anyone knows where I can buy a Infinity airbrush? This is really what I'm looking for, but I'll certainly go and take a look at the other stores. My husband can count himself as lucky since I much rather go to a sci-fi store than a shoe store ;)
