Thanks! We just got back from Miami, with a flu and less sleep than ever thanks to a couple of early morning flights and daylight saving over the weekend. Oh well, I'll paint my way back to health.. or death, either is cool with me as long as I can sleep :p

Say WHAAAA. You came all the way down to my territory and didn't even say hey? I'm hurt.
Don't be. The whole bloody thing was a last minute "Let's have a spontaneous beach vacation for our anniversary" blur. Sat and today were travel days (5am & 430am respectively) and Sunday and Monday were split between some kind of enforced death march that The Lady Inquisitor called a "tour" through the art deco district, Lincon ave shopping area, freezing my ass off in the pool while we we're 50 feet from the ocean and trying to convince The Agent of Chaos that there are no sharks at the beach and the water was "safe" while the waves threw me around like a rag doll. Also, apparently Loews had Hi speed wifi which was actually incredibly slow and painful wifi so i was unplugged for about 4 days. Hell, The AA flight back today had faster internet than that hotel did. I was looking forward to a few quiet days at home to ditch the flu, but this was just as good. The ladies had a good time - I am near death  I suspect she maybe trying to kill me, but make it look like natural causes. Is it wrong that I am looking forward to work tomorrow?

Lmao. Now that's quite the story. It's ok, I'm not really mad. I live on the complete other as end of Florida, in the panhandle. About 12 hours drive away lol. Sounds like the agent of chaos is one smart cookie to me. Though you probably could have told her the fire dolphins protect you from sharks :p as for the death march. I think that's normal...or a test to see if your strong enough to keep. Seeing how you survived though I think you have appeased her. ;).
Congrats on the anniversary bud.

Thanks! 8 years and counting. If I make it to 10 I think get a service stud drilled into my head or something :)

Congrats Zab.. I have managed to survive 15 years so far.. I think keeping outta my wife's hair painting has allowed me to survive these last 2 years.. I have about 30 years worth of stuff to be painted, so I should be ok for a while..

Holy crap Khonner! 15 years?! Well done :)
The first 5 are supposedly the hardest and when you add the kids in I think you are doing damn fine there, Demi. Yeah, I'm going pretty slow on this one and taking pics of the colors and Vampirella as I go. It won't be super detailed, but you'll see what colors I used for each area and how it turned out with a description of what technique I used to get it.

Pardon my language, but FUCK! These big kits are so hard. I should have used Wapple's technique and skipped the AB as it was pretty much wasted effort at this point. Bigger brushes plus wet on wet would have made everything better and faster. DAMN YOU HINDSIGHT! DAMN YOU TO HELLLLLLLLLLLLL! It was a shitty casting though and I did all I could. The primer screwed me too. Just have to make sure the focus is soft when I snap the pics at the end ;) This one has been an exercise in staying calm and carrying on. It's good though because sometimes I need to get knocked down a peg to learn new things. I'll smash her good when it's all over. Sweet, sweet revenge :sinister:

Oh, I had all those plans too. Frisket, silly putty liquid mask and mainly AB work. Then I saw how bad the cast was and how bad the primer hazed and decided to just use it as a learning tool and minimize the effort. This was never gonna be a showcase piece.

Freehand tatoos then?

Nah. I'm actually itching to just get it done and move onto the mini exchange dwarves with a few things i've learned.

Sweet Dude! Looking forward to getting some motivation to start on those guys again. I was just thinking about them. I talked to Canny the other day and he sounds like he has a lot on his plate right now, but sounds like he wants to get painting some more.

That might be my fav part of this hobby. The ability to put it on hold and jump right back in when there is time.

That's a cool idea. Time to hit my local Fabricland... Actually, it's not looking too bad right now and since I'm trying weird crap out I'm, going to try a pigment wash in the recesses with a lighter blue and a white pigment wash on the highpoints and see what that does.
