I have some models that looked amazing in the box art but I got them in my hands thought "ugh, I don't want to deal with that". I'm in for this. So I just add my name to the list, right?

Alright, I went digging through my lowliest draw of minis and at the very bottom found a mini I had forgotten I had. My hesitation for joining this is that I just cleared my plate so I could devote myself to my Sisters of Battle army and I didn't want anything getting in the way. But, at the bottom of my drawer I found a mini that would fit perfectly into the Sisters of Battle army and fits right into this theme. So what I'm going to do is Ax Factions Dragon Huntress as a Sisters of Battle Repenta Standard-bearer.

I could come up with something I have been meaning to do, I have a few of them. Got stuck on Andre de mont or something from hell dorado. An imperial fist that's a sculpting mess, it's harder than I anticipated. Varathar that's got primer and I felt it was to hard to do it justice, now I look at it and feel little excitement, need to decide what colours and how to approach such a large model.

I thought I upload my to-do models first, as I seem to be extremely forgetful since the year turned. As previously mentioned, I jumped the gun on the Inquisitor (this will be my 4th attempt) and the Carnie ... well, he's sat like that since I bought him. About 6 years ago or something.

I think I found the one I'll paint.
After putting 1 Shurat together the other went to the "I hate this model" group. If someone remembers the "bloat thrall gap" from PP... it's nothing compared to those Shurat has. So far the one I put together was a pain to pin, a pain to assemble and a pain to gap-fill. A perfect candidate for this challenge (especially as I wanted the second not to a high TTQ, but to display quality).
gonkh: I feel your pain for the carnivean. I put and painted 1 together and swore: I'll never paint a PP-Legion figure again. It wasn't a joy to paint.

:nailbiting!: Thanks guys I have a heap of old GW figures from Rogue Trader days , I think I might have to repaint some old Adeptes Arbites figures.
never liked the fact they were bigger than a marine .
I also have some original Eldar that look all moulded together with no break up in the detail .
at least that can be my excuse when they look absolutely crap compared to all you guys awesome paintwork..

For me it's not to compare mine with the others, for me it's I take a crap mini, doomed mini the one I hate the most and try to do something nice with it, that's the challenge for me.

So I decided against a standard bearer and am just making her another one my my Repenta. Below you can see I had to redo both of her hands and what were in them. I know the hands are bigger than her natural hands should be, but I am going to compensate for this by having those gloves be gauntlets like the normal Sisters of Battle wear. I am really looking forward to getting working on her, Ax Faction minis have some great detail.
