I'd like to clean my brushes and bought a bottle of Vallejo Brush Cleaner, but I don't know how to use it. Do I soak the brush in it overnight? Or just whirl it around and then massage the paint out? Help appreciated - thanks!

Make sure to let us know what they say ;) Vallejo has had great support every time I've contacted them so you should get an answer relatively quickly.

For the record:

The Brush Cleaner, ref. 28.900 is mostly used to rinse and/or soak the brushes.
The Brush Restorer, 28.890 to bring them back into shape.

Brush restorer. Brings brush hairs back into original shape.
Soak brush in liquid for some 20 minutes or more.
Smooth brush hairs into place with finger and allow to dry.

Which kind of answers my question. But. Oh well. Would have been nice to add some chemical tips, like, dissolves paint, should rinse out brushes with water afterwards and so on.

I don't know about the Vallejo product, but I've used Winsor & Newton's brush cleaner. It will eat the chrome off of the ferrule.

A short soak (an hour) and use some sort of clamp to keep just the bristles in the solvent. Then a rinse and some good soft conditioning soap (the Masters or similar) and your brushes will be as good as they are going to get.

I use use good old fashioned hair conditioner on my WN brushes. Every few sessions, or when I feel my bristles are behaving poorly.

So how do you use the hair conditioner bloodfather ,just mix it with water or straight from the bottle ..?
I have always just used my word hole to clean my brushes.
I just hate the taste of the inks....
