He's gone and our world is now a little more empty.

Passed away sleeping at home with his cats beside him aged 66.

Can't say much more.

Just read about it!! In a way, I'm relieved he don't have to suffer any longer. Alzheimer's is something I wouldn't wish upon my worst enemy! I am sad there will be no more Discworld books, though. Those books have been with me for close to 25 years, now.

Rest in peace!

Sad day. Shame I never got the chance to shake the Terry's hand and tell him how much he has meant to me.

Gutted by this news :'(

Someone I've never met or red any of his books but can admire him for his strength in dealing with Alzheimer's.

Yet another bright star has joined the heavens.

He'll be missed by millions, self included. People may say that of world leaders, but never mean it. In this case, people will mean it. RIP good man.

I may be to only person to have never heard of him before this. Seeing how many fellow artists he has influenced, clearly I have some reading to do. Would you folks care to recommend which book to start with?

Its a shame he's gone. But its nice he was at home, in his own bed, with the cats. If you gotta go thats a nice way to write your last line.

RIP Terry, shit! Leonard Nemoy last week Harry Harrison and Ian M Banks last year and the year before all my favourite authors and Vulcans are dying this is no good:(

I'm actually a man!
Was terribly sad to hear. One of my favourite artists, the driest wit to put pen to paper.

A favoured quote of his:

"Nothing is worth doing unless someone, somewhere would very much rather you weren't doing it!"

He is with Death enjoying a curry debating the colour of the infinite now :(

"By the time you've reached your sixties, you do know that one day you will die, and knowing that is at least the beginning of wisdom."

RIP Sir Pratchett, you were my favorite writer. :(
