Looks good. I like the green to purple transition you got in the skin. Very nice! If you haven't already, be sure to check out Sprokets thread. He's doing some amazing nurgle stuff right now, great source for inspiration.

As for the photos washing out the color, try setting up a diffuser between the lights and the figure. This can be as simple as taping a sheet of paper over the light. You can also create your own light box (there's a nice tutorial on massive voodoo on that). I'd guess it's the strong lights that are causing the photos to be washed out, in which case a diffuser should help you get a truer picture.

@Bailey - I'm quite happy with the skin, so it's really good to hear that you like where it is as well. I have looked at Sproket's thread and he's doing some great work with his Nurgle minis. :good:

Because my painting station is not permanently set up (it's in the middle of the lounge/sitting room) I just use my painting light and cellphone camera to snap quick WIP shots. But it is good to know why I'm getting that washed out effect and I'll see what I can do to minimise it.

*sigh* Painted up the Nurgle Lord's armour and it's so not working! Placement of highlights was not good and my colour choice was off as well. So back to my colour wheel (I'm learning guys! :)) and time to re-basecoat to start afresh.

You'll be fine. Just weather the F**K out of it and any color will work. If only there was some one on here who knew how to weather armour and stuff (cue dramatic entrance from BAM in 3...2...)!

Until he chooses to grace us with his presence I've started afresh and will continue on with it tomorrow. Been looking at paintjobs here on CMON to get a rough idea of approach rather than colour. Still want to do my own thing, but it never hurts to look around for ideas.

LLlllloooooooollllll I love you all you are all amazing you make me feel young aND sprue as a cgicken (whatever the firk that means)...ter you killed me with the food in the pentagram...and zab yes you have exposed my secret I weather to cover everything from mistakes to mouldlines...and the crickets god I love diggs ...he's the second funniest dude aroynd (me being the first :/ ) the crickets killed me....you guys are all amazing and you too arch .......btw the new nurgle looks Def propainted...love those Lil details like the bruising around the open sores...just love hints of tissue damage..

That's one big delay on that summoning! Zab, I think we're going to have to rework the ritual for future attempts...

Glad I managed to get tagged onto the list of amazingness. :p I'm obviously moving up in the world! :victory:

Finished another assignment this morning - only went to bed at 6:15am. Required a nap this afternoon - I can't pull all-nighters like I did when I was at university the first time! (I might be an academic nerd). Clearly I'm getting old....

But I'm going to get some paint splattering in this evening! I've re-basecoated the armour and I'm going to practice my glazing!
