Watching Paint Dry

Errm kinda finished her this afternoon.
Wasn't intending to, but she just flew the paint on.
All that remained to complete were the jewellery and Doodads that are on the figure.
Her arms have very fine Filigree Lines around the wrist and forearms which I picked out in gold.
The scrolls on her back worked in Iraqi sand & Ivory
The 'Whatever they are on the front, I've done in my NMM Brass recipe using Middlestone, Burnt Umber, White and Blue-Green.

The base was worked up with VMC Light Rubber and washes of Burnt Umber, Black Glaze, Yellow ochre and American Dark Green, Black Green, Medium Olive and Yellow Ochre.

All told from start to finish this figure has taken 11 hours, Six yesterday, Five today.

A lovely figure and I would definitely recommend it for anyone to work on.

Looks awesome DR , well done. Love the richness in the dress.
I thought it was only me that put the pictures in all over the place , I guess imitation is the best form of flattery...

Very nice blue on the dress Mike and the light placement on the skin is top notch. Also the leather on the boots is very good. I'd maybe do a bit more on the base but that's the only crit and a minor one at that.

She looks lovely, but there's a bit of a mismatch (to my untrained eye) between the high contrast dress and low contrast skin. Sort of washes her complexion out a bit.

Lovely (and ridiculously speedy) work, though.

I found you! (There's no escaping now - accept your fate DR) *hugs*

I am seriously excited to add your WIP onto my subscription list - it'll be great seeing your process and learning some more things.

Having said that, time to move on to the super speedy paintjob. The turquoise you used for her dress is absolutely stunning - it's a beautifully vibrant and rich colour.

Keep them coming my friend. :D

You're cheating on me with another lady whose not your gorgeous wife?! *shock* *horror*
One of my sketching "Besties" just moved house yesterday, not that far from where we live, so took her and her fiancé for a meal last night.
Nothing sinister in taking a 25 year old Blonde Capricorn for a meal.

.....and I'm struggling this morning, who invented alarm clocks?

Alarm clocks are either countered by using as ammunition on a catapult. Or they are appraised by offerings of coffee.

Sorry to hear that DR. Shout If you need any help.

Thanks but managed to get the ******g Problem sorted.
