Nice painting and also BoK brings a smile to my face hearing that people are felling good and enjoying life.

Ohh and that pixelated version I dont think it helps to bring sharpness into it, prefer this version ;) ;)

Bloody hell! Well more power to you mate all changes for the better I reckon. Oils formal training mate classical art school is the best thing I would say. Excellent helping the kids; it's loads of f*cking hard work and aggravation and then you help one who genuinely turns their life around and it's all worth while and you really have done some good with your life.

Me? Well kids, wife, work, Christmas, painting and chewing the fat on cmon .....happy as a pig in shit mate.

So to this bloody massive bust it just doesn't end! A bit and I mean a bit more done it's going to be weeks yet this one chipping stencilled words lights osl etc etc to go yet.

That old veteran's armor looks waaaaaaay too clean and shiny. I can't wait to see you give it character to match his grizzled, battered face!
But yeah, I think I would go crazy painting all that blue like that.

Very nice blends my friend. I find with blue, more than any other color, that is looks best shades and highlighted with itself--a dark blue and a light blue. GW makes a good range, from Temple Guard Blue to Alitoc Blue(sp?) to Khantor Blue. A nice range...

The blue is done at last I thought I'd go bonkers with all that blue but we're done. Done some chipping and rust and starting to pick out some metal details to work on later.

Looking way cooler already! The damage on the back looks more plausible to me, as it's clustered around the edges & corners. Maybe to some of the frontal damage you could add pierce-marks, slash marks, or some way of explaining how it got there? It's looking super badass in any case.

Woah! I totally missed the earlier stages of your work on this guy, he's looking really good. I agree with Saint Toad about the damage on the front. What about a line of bullet marks across the front of the shoulder to explain the damage?

Im thinking of a slash maybe from some shrapnel.

Lots of of extra weathering and Osl done but going to fiddle with the rust chipping yet. But definitely entering the final stretch.

Looking good mate. Ever thought of maybe one piece of plate armor a different colour to he looks like he's patched it during a battle or maybe a ragged looking chipped stripe or stripes on a pannel. Maybe a few symbols or something. Just ideas looking great. Hope there will be some smaller runs from the chipped parts too.

Yep agreed, the counterpoint between the lustrous blue and dirty rust looks sensational. Are you going to do any 'fresh' battle damage? I imagine there'll be scuffs and scrapes that haven't had time to rust yet. Perhaps a bit more burning or oxidisation on the exhausts on his back (if that's what they are).
