Looking for a good Giant

Looking for some opinions. I would like to paint a dio with a giant or maybe even group of ogres. Who do you think makes the best giant? So far I wanna go with this guy: http://ave-miniatures.com/index.php?route=product/product&path=61&product_id=52

Also open to suggestions for his companions. Imagine this giant is a bandit that raids caravans in the mountain passes of the Spine of the World range. Think classic fantasy feel. They could be goblins or trolls or ogres or humans.

Kind of a dumb suggestion, but what about the giant kit from GW? I've seen some really cool conversions and dioramas with that kit.

Not a dumb suggestion at all, and if it were not the soup du jour of Giants in this hobby, I would pick it for sure. There have been many an excellent conversions that I admire. Such as the one where the little human prisoner is trying to fish the giant's cell keys. Hehehehe. But my issue with converting is that I would like to alter his face so that it would look a little original, and my skills may not be up to the task. Then again, if one was to pick a figure with plans for an ambitious conversion project, the giant would be the best choice because of the scale and the bits and the creative alternatives. Hmmmm.....

Not sure if I am familiar with the cyclops from Mierce, but as a fan of their minis in general and their Giants and ogres, well then I may just like it...

Yeah as far as ogres go, these or some of the Forgeworld ones are it. I really like te Cossacks from Scibor but they aren't representative of the type of ogres I am after. Too human-like in appearance. Their other, traditional ogres fit the bill though.

Ain't that the truth lol! And I have seen the diorama with the human prisoner... it was excellent. Does forgeworld make their really really big giant anymore? That one looks pretty scary and grotesque

Naw OOP now. They actually had two different ones, as well. One that was super tall and dressed in semi normal apparel, I think. And another that had a bunch of homemade armor on. Kinda cool, really but not as classic as their GW counterpart. My favorite giant is actually this single model made as a collaboration between two sculptor/painters. I want to say one is Banshee but not entirely sure...
