Lmao, I can picture you going through them bftbg paints left and right, but what I don't see is you running g out. I just figured a portal from another deminsion opened at your leisure and a tentacle or clawed creature sticks his hand through to give you another bottle of the stuff...

15 more days left till deadline and I've swapped a months time out of crystal brushs schedule to work on a unit for the GW online genestealers comp... So here's my team sort of a deathwatch team made up of hybrids and they bleed red because they are half (maybe more as each genetation has more and more human traits)human / half alien species . Almost done ..well not even close.. But I'm getting there. Putting the same hours time and care as if a podium judges panel comp.what do you win... I have no clue... I don't care first online comp.. Having fun and looking forward to it.. EnjoyView attachment 52913

Love these!!! Some days I wish I was half as talented. The head spots are a great addition. I really need to work on my shading and highlighting, it always seems to have "steps" in it no matter how much blending I try to do. It never comes out looking this good or natural. Well done sir!!

No 1 . Thank you so much web monkey. Really is an amazing feeling to have others who in my opinion Are just as talented, say these things to me. What I can say about blending is there are so many ways to achieve that smooth transition look . What you need to do is 1 the best way is to have someone who can blend actually show you how. Now if you don't have access to that than by a DVD called hot lead 1 from jeremie teboul and one from oh shit I forgot his name lol so get 1 DVD from jeremie and watch what he does. Look on you tube for a blending the oz painters call juicing (ultimate blending) its basically just water colorists do thin coats after unloading the diluted paint off the brush (rem just drag it to unload dint press or push it into the napkin that takes off to much) applying over and over and each time you cover less of the area like a roof shingle overlapping one another. See if that helps there's also 2 brush blending , feathering , wet on wet blending .. Hell try em all and see what you have success with and then no matter how bad each figure is just 1) finish it2) keep using it until you get that AH HA MOMENT- that means you got it. Same as any other thing and what I do in every model, every part always is after blending, edge highlighting and small white dots of light catch points is -GLAZE the whole thing and itl blend it more at this points even magnified you should have a really nice smooth transition. If you have any other questions bud ill be glad to try and she'd light in anything you need to know.;)

These look gorgeous. You're giving me a moral dilemma between buying some Genestealers and aspiring to your standard, and trying to get through the pile of miniatures I should be painting at the moment (and aspiring to your standard).

Love that hint of blue/green corrosion in the recesses of the metal as well!

Looking terrific, BAM. That magus really is a looker!
I personally wouldn't touch him, but his lack of the powder blue makes him look a little out of place in the unit. But... I would probably just say he's great and leave it!

Dankashund krule,fox, toad.
Toad always a pleasure to hear you feedback . I don't have them yet in a proper order.:( but that magus will be the fiscal point of the squad. He'll be In the middle. So he is the 3rd from the left/right. This will also make an overall scheme of 2 blue / skin , one lighter skin and two blue skin. This produces a series of tones. (Blue, lighter skin no mottling , blue. This will be taken furthe in another series of Colors ,red clothing on the ends and obviously red clothing in the middle. This is the second scheme of red blue red blue red. Ill get some pics to show the continuity. He has no carapace obviously and lighter skin being he's much more human than his counter parts. Hang tight ill get pics up to show my thought process.. As always thanks to all you guys for commenting, feedback , and being the extra eyes in case I miss or realize something needs changing.
My our all GOLDen!!!

I see you've already thought this through! Maybe you could even pick up that shade of blue with some little details of the surrounding scenery or something.
I know you're still working on them, but you've got a lovely variety of tones on these. I feel you've really struck a nice balance between unifying the look of the unit and differentiating the individual personalities. And hot damn but you crank them out quickly!

Didn't notice this before but it's quite apparent now you mention it. I'd agree with Toad about the blue. maybe a tiny bit here and there on the magus?
