......here's a thing.

I've just completed writing my first fiction book. (Blasted out 2500 plus words this morning)

52,000 words, 101 pages of A4, (Yes and I dropped the bloody thing so it took ages to sort into order again. Page numbering is a must.)
So it's going to the first run reader this weekend before any editing and amendments.

So I now have another story set noted out and maybe this one won't take me a Year to write.

Think I'll celebrate with a :coffee: or two.

Does it involve maidens in distress with malfunctioning wardrobes and lose morals?

Good question Andy! I'd like to add, if it does not include those things, does it at least include some brush licking and some mini dipping? I'm now imagining a horror book for mini-painters...

Well Thanks to all for the good wishes.

I got back the test readers comments and yellow post it note errors.
Spell check perfect but then and them errors pop up. You get "word blind" after so long looking at the screen for so long.
Plot hole failure to amend. Ooops HOW the foxtrot did I miss that?
A minor restructure with which to create a Prologue.
After that time to see about scaring myself in print.

That kind of error is super usual. Having corrected some catalogues and magazines myself you don't read what your eyes see, you read what your brain wants to read, so always make sure some of the correctors/proof readers are not used to the text that is presented to them. ;)

You can also make a search and replace for double blank spaces ( ) ( ) and doubled full stops. (..)
