Looking good, Guawol! Getting some good depth and contrast. Layering and blending by glazing is a painstaking process that requires more than a little patience. You're off to a great start. Just a little nit: the flap of green cloth down by the model's right foot, in the front, could probably go for a little more smoothing, if you get the chance.

Thanks Octavian. Your right I could probably get a bit more smoothness for most of the green cloth, I'll try to do a few more glazing layers and see if that helps. It is a painstaking process but I am loving the effect it has, it even makes the pictures look better :) It does increase the amount of time spent on each model, but now I just find myself doubling up, glaze/wash one model and then go and work on another while it dries and then come back and do the next layer.

Oh and does anyone have any tips or a good source for glowing runes? I have never tried to do them before and I want to do a little research before I attempt it.

There were also some osl posts in the articles se tion of the forum.

Thanks KruleBear, I'll have to look through them. I just wasnt sure if there was a difference for glowing runes vs major OSL (just dont have enough experience on the subject).

In my mind the only difference is the object that is the source of the light. For recessed runes it would be the inside of the recesses as oposed to an external source such as a torch or laser.

so you've been doing a lot of painting and I thunk it's time we introduce you to a tool that will help you know exactly where to put highlights/shades on any type of model...your going to go to "OZ PAINTERS" - the STOP SIGN RULE! Read through it and start to give number values to each piece and slope ,and shape of the mini.this def will help in the future..it took a while to get the adding of a miniature right but once I got it it flows so easily.

Thank you BAM! I'll have to research it a bit more, but I can see how the concept applies, this will be a great help!
