Guys these pox are not for anything other than a typical blanchitsuesque painting that I'm doing cause I live the models. After I do a display piece I'm starting to do breathers that are not so much comp paint jobs but more of where I let the brush feel my innards of what I think would be best suited for the model. Yeah def fox . These guys and the primaries marine are and have been a great deal of fun just for the cabinet!!! AS any competitive miniature painter can attest to.the better your skills get ,the more your painting shifts from fun on a less fun approach ( not saying it's not fun). This is in other words to say you start to see things in a les liberal go to a more technical way. Is this right ,is that right ,how does this interact with this kind of approach ,do these colors work systematically . So it's nice once in a while to just paint with all this making a lesser impact. The one thing I did try with these guys is a color interaction of split complimentary colors.this is basically instead of using a complimentary color combo (colors directly opposite each other on the wheel).its a color and than the other color opposite this certain color , instead of that youde use the two colors adjacent the color opposite your color on the wheel. So here let's say red and green. We use green and instead of red the two colors on each side of the red compliment ,we use ORANGE AND PURPLE. so the scheme would be ORANGE ,PURPLE AND GREEN.

Nurgle = anything goes !!!! Pussy microbeads,nurgle rot ,rotting bone and carcass, bruising ,blood gore you name it it's in the soup a little break from comp painting to do a bit of blanchitsu type squad. Several comp pieces sometime wear me out as far as pressure technically. So these breather pieces really help me out with unwinding and rearing up to get going on another high pressure competition piece.

Yup, all those subtle tones on the skin, boils, and sores are very Nurgly indeed. And the orange and teal sets it off nicely.
Those faces creep me out though... they all look so... happy...
But then again, who wouldn't be? Playing in the garden with not a care in the world, under the loving gaze of Grandfather Nurgle.

We have a full plate going in 3 projects after I just finished the comm (17 LOTR figures) for my baby J!!!!
So as followed and none are done we have digganobs Orc bust View attachment 59508 we then have my relaxation mins more of a decent standardView attachment 59509 of what is going to be how I eventually get all of those guys done with the death guard this way I can field them in a game)).

And JUUUUST in case folks want to know has John worked on any other COMPETITIIN DISPLAY MODELS FOR ANY FUTURE CONTESTS.yessiree bob I've done the second layer of the bases for my blood bowl team of all stars and star players for crystal brush. Ill look on with envy when you start to paint some death guard Marines. I've got two of the lords waiting for some paint.
Also, will there be any chance of a BaM painted Mortarion when he comes out? Seems like exactly your thing and I'll love to see such a large BaM painted model.
