Large scale Terminator build.

Having had so much fun with my last couple of builds I am at it again. This time I am having a go at a Terminator in the same scale as my 120mm Space Marines. This has been done before so check out cassar’s work, as he has already built the standard style ones, to be different I am planning a Grey Knight style Terminator. So far I have roughed out the upper chest section as well as the bulk of the vented section on the back. I have used the standard Forgeworld chest as a guide to get the size rightand make sure he bulks larger with the extra armour. This should be fun.

Looks a good start mate, I'd love to try something like this someday. What kind of modelling putty are you using?

Thanks Droid, I use miliput 2 part putty. It takes a while to cure but you can speed this up by potting it under a lamp, it sands smooth, there is a bit of a learning curve to use it, I got loads of advice from a guy called cassar who builds amazing bigatures. Check out his stuff.

Somebody invoke my presence? Lol. Looks great so far the vents are tricky to do really impressed. Reach round n give yourself a pat on the back :)

Been pondering milliput creations recently, pointless tackling it without a decent dremel or something though so i'l wait till whenever. I did have one, feck knows where it went...
Looking good so far though, don't let being Cass' apprentice put you off, there are far crueler masters out there in other forges. There are worse things than a tweaked bollock...

Did some finishing and shaping on the helmet and built the waist and groin sections. Still need to detail them. I also started roughing out the legs. Not the final pose just checking the proportions.

Cass would be more happy to impart the wrong wisdom to rough my fur mate!

Worse than a tweaked bollock? I'm not taking a drink from you soldier, i've heard things, bad things.

Thanks Tee888. I might take some design cues from the classic one. Been away working for a couple of days but managed to make a little progress today. Started detailing the shoulder pads and tidied up the knee pads. I also decided to reprofile the top of the helm as it was too rounded. I also ground it the neck to allow the head to sit further back on the shoulders and give more clearance around the neck guard.

Dang, I thought I already commented...nice build. It appears the waist proportions match up with the GW aesthetic (which isn't very realistic), so you are on top of it.

So when do you get your graduate degree from the school of Cassar....

Still really enjoying this build. Here is the progress update, built the hinges for the knee joints. Bulked our the armour on the forearms (still needs a lot of finishing). Continued with the pauldrons and started on the great hammer.
