Its more a theme idea rather than verbatim colours. The splinter effect may be a darker grey base and a grey blue with red speckle patches just to break up the slab of colour.

*cough* point in case *cough* lol

Can't see it taking you anywhere. Shake itself apart and what happens then? Lame schoolboys , dying kittens, the last lamentations of the infirm, a wailing dirge of women in pajamas... Sorry just figured a tesco carpark would seem to offer the most space, likely casualties assumed on recon intel.

Hi all,

been a bit of a hectic month and only recently got some time to tidy up and catch up.
Been finishing a tabletop death company commission and started a large Ad mech force commission.

Hi Folks,

I've been a bit quiet from forums this last month as had a few things on privately and been doing some jobs and just been bashing on.

However the Manta continues to go ahead and i have some cockpit and troop area sections almost complete or working through.

Hopefully have the internals glued in this week and start on the outside (the bit you are all waiting for!)

Hi all, I hope you are all having a good start to 2018 :)

I have been working on some personal projects recently (not including GD stuff)

I made a conversion to the free Khorne champion that came in a WD a wee while ago, i added a SW bare head and converted the sword into a polearm type weapon. I was trying to see how i could add depth and more dynamism to my painting so its a bit more rough effects and more extreme shading, its good fun.

There is also a Eavier Metal FB group challenge for 20 year old or over models, i dug out the very first mini i ever got in 1992 when i was 10. I stripped the paint off (old humbrol enamels painted by my dad :) ) and i am redoing him in NMM to push my abilities and learn more about the technique, so it s a bit of a practice piece.

Man, that interior of the Manta is looking very good. It has a very clean and sophisticated look, and reminds me somewhat of a high-end luxury yacht, which suits the Tau just fine. :)

Rick it’s always a viewing pleasure mate. Sorry don’t atop by often but so many folks and friends it’s confusing and I easily get lost in the cracks of all you amazing artists out there.

Hey! Stay out of my crack! Or at least buy me dinner first, and some drinks.

Nice minis. I especially like the texture on that last purple cloak.

I'm with KruleBear on the cloak. The extra texture really makes it look better. I think I now have a better idea of how I'll tackle Gurzag's cloak once I get to it. Thanks for the inspiration!
