Thank you Mr. Nordic ;)

Been painting a bit more! ^^ I owe you all some pictures.

I've finished a couple of nice ladies... Kanga (first non Caucasian skin!!) and also Maya from Arcadia Quest... I stalked her for quite long, because she has quite a lot of armour, OSL, and I got problems with her eyes. Brought her to the optician this weekend and did proper eyes on the fifth attempt or so. On the way I discovered that you can strip paint from a miniature with airbrush thinner and an old brush!!! (see little how to below)

Also started Johan in full NMM armour (*faints LOL) and Zazu (first Asiatic skin!).

HOW TO PARTIALLY STRIP WITH VALLEJO AIRBRUSH THINNER
Just with a thinner moistened brush, brush carefully on the part to strip, paint will wrinkle and tear up easily, just brush the rests of paint on a regular paper to not dry the brush instead of using a tissue/kitchen paper (that would soak up too much thinner from the brush) repeat a couple of times, then clean the brush with water and clean the stripped part also with the same brush and some more water. And Boom! Done! ^^
(try it first!! I used premium airbrush thinner from Vallejo, do not know if other brands will work, I did this on a plastic model, I suppose it will work on other materials)

I absolutely can not get enough of your chibis modelo’s and I don’t think I’ll ever stop wanting this Chibi fix every time I come on.

Really happy for having your interest BAM, despite not being what people mainly like or work with (GW miniatures)

So... as promised some work has been done:

This is Kanga! From start to finish, it is the first "black" skinned miniature that I paint, and I hope it won't be the last. Super fun to paint, but quite tricky because it cames glued and ready to play, her hair and her bow were a little nightmare to avoid whilst painting other areas... xD
I really regret not having pictures or notes of how I mixed her skin, I remember that I applied some red glazings almost to all of her skin, and that was a key movement because before that the skin colour did not convince me enough.

Here she comes our ice magician... Maya!
I started her back on this post... a little bit more than a year ago. I am really happy to have finished her at last. It was really difficult to get her eyes right, and that OSL combined with the NMM armour were really intimidating me a lot. xD
Sorry for the picture her skin is completely burned out, but IRL there are shadows on her hips, hands, boo..erhm breasts and face but I was unable to get them on the camera. If i finally post her to the gallery I might try a better final shot.

Boromir blowing the horn of Gondor Finished

Thank you CC and Diggs ;)

I recently finished the project I started back on (August 2016!) here: http://www.coolminiornot.com/forums...ng-Log-and-WIP&p=821513&viewfull=1#post821513

It's s tiny miniature from Mithril brand related to the lord of the rings world. Although I think Boromir is still quite renowned for everyone over here to know.
On the linked post you'll find a nice way of doing 28/32mm arrows (the ones that appear painted in this post).

Thank you S&S ;)

More advancements on Zazu from Arcadia Quest game...

Had to repeat his eyes, I did not like nor the colour (a bit too desaturated) nor the placement of the right one... it looked off to the right a bit too much. I think they are better now. Paint pots in the picture are the ones used for his vestments. This week I started the little freehand on his cloak and also the NMM on the blade. My intention is to try to do cooper NMM on the "stick" of the spear using the recipe that Hairster shared with all us on his thread...

Also, don't forget to vote for Boromir on the Gallery since it only has 14 votes ;_( ... http://www.coolminiornot.com/425472
