I was actually thinking about painting there two golden lines, as some elaborate decor would have been too much.
Much better now, you only have to clean up all the blacks.

I decided to leave the black lines in between since I kinda like the look ^^ It looks like a very transluscent pattern in between.

yeah sombody trolled in ^^ Was 9.0 with 4 registered and went down to 7 with the fith so a troll rated 1 ^^
But since everybody kinda gets that it usually commutes in. I usually don't give that much on ratings as well. For me I think she's one of my best works so far

Started a "new" mini too that past weekend (it's always over so fast ).
Together with the Executrix I got a dark elv mage as well -> just couldn't resist xD
Last week I started to clean the parts and assembled it saturday evening. When I glued on the parts and fewer and fewer were left I realized that her left arm was missing
Searched the whole room, checked various blister packs, emptied my hand vacuum cleaner ... nothing ;( DAMN
Only one place left to check ... the trashbin -.-
Mission Objective: Locate and retrieve a 4mm resin part in a sea of nutshells and cigarette ashes
Equipment: Rubber gloves, breathing mask, second trashbag
So I started moving countless handfulls of rubbish from the bin into the second bag. Pistachio shells, cigarette ends, ashes ...
When I reached the ground (nearly at the brink of sanity and with almost no hope left) I found first hints in form of resin leftovers HOPE!
Sieving through ashes and dust I finally found the arm \o/
Took nearly 2 hours -.-
Glued it on the mini extra super strong, closed gaps with milliput and after the putty has cured enough (2-3 hours) I gave it a good cleanse with isopropylalcohol, evaporatet leftover drops and primed it.
I started on the cloak with airbrush.
First I sketched highlights with strong diluted white (Tamiya XF-2), then sprayed thin layers of SFG-11 Bloodfest Crimson into the highlights and SFG-27 Eldandil Violet into the shadows.
The violet didn't cover quite well though and I wasn't that happy with the "airbrush-look" so I went over ith again using oil colours.
I mixed a magenta tone using Alizarin Crimson, Titan White and Phtalo Blue and a violet from Alizarin Crimson + Phtalo Blue.
I then wetblended the two colors.
For final highlights I applied a thin streak of pure white to the highest highlights and feathered it into the magenta.
Sunday afternoon I sealed the oils with satin varnish mixing AK-Ultra Matte Varnish with AK-Glossy Varnish in a 3:1 ratio.
I started the skin using an acrylic underpainting with SC-26 Sandal Wood and sketched in the highlights using pure white.
Over that oil colours were used again.
The skintone was mixed with Titanium white, Alizarin Crimson, Cadmium Yellow and Ultramarin Blue.
Today I then sealed the oils again with the varnish mixture and worked on using acrylics.
I used glazes to sharpen the highlights and deepen the shadows.
Also started the face. The eye gave me some troubles since its super small. Had to use my magnifying glasses again -.- (but I slowly get used to them)
Here is the actual state:
The third picture was actually the first I shot. But I thought it was shaken so I took a secon one from that angle (pic 1).
Something strange happened with the first one though since the shadows look a tiny bit more reddish/brownish and I kinda like it. Its a tiny bit more contrast but not too much (got to careful with female skin, to much contrast there looks akward in my opinion).
So I guess my cam wanted to show me how it's done

Quick update. Worked further on the skin and face. Had some problems with her right eye since it was a bit smaller then the left one. So I had to paint the lid of the left eye over the eyeball to make it smaller. On the skin I reinforced some shadows with a desaturated pinkish brown.
