That must be the most beautiful crimson I've ever seen on a miniature. You've got that "rich" touch to it that makes it special. The figure does bring back good memories, remembering throwing enamel paint to it back in the days.
Sketching in her skin by putting in light placement. Also a HQ mummy that's been slightly converted with an outstretched hand. View attachment 72156View attachment 72157
Bird rider continues to amaze, and I dig this Hero Quest project a lot. Seems like a great way to stay energized over the long haul of a competition piece.
More wip. Skin colours used are base of tallard flesh, blended up with elf flesh then using scale 75 arabic skin with some dark flesh and reds to shade down with glazes. Highlights made up from elf flesh and scale 75 pale skin. The slight silk of the GW paint with the ultra matt of the S75 works well. Need to sort out the strong red blotches on the right side of her face.
Haha, I love the look on the little guy with a bowl cut. He looks surprised that the big green axe-wielding weirdo-monster chopped his head off. Cool blood effect, too.
Looks awesome. What did you use for the blood effect? The blood pool around the head seems so rich and dimensional. Gloss medium with ink would be my assumption, but I really would like to duplicate your technique in the future.
Alright lee I’ll ask if no one will!!!:-/ where the feark are you getting the hero quest models. Are you sculpting in your flat again. Sensational work-oldhammer rules and so does 10ball!!!
