A real improvement I think.
I didn't realize you would add some plants to it (go figure, maybe the shape of the antena made me saw it as a desert base with a tatooine vibe), but it could also break the fact that there is a lot of vertical lines in the composition.
So adding some plants will certainly add a welcomed "chaos" in this, which could be very interesting.

@ Dexter0015 - Thanks! I actually am going for a desert type vibe :giggle: but with some plants added. The colors of the environment will include browns, tans, and reds, with splashes of color here and there to break up the monotony and add contrast.

Don't you love when you start to add the "little" details? Looking good, the extra height and cables really worked out.
Did you ever back to that Dark Knight? I like him.

@ Flaming Tiki - Thanks! I will definitely go back to painting the knight guy. Getting this basing bug outta me first >_< :rotfl:

Primer really ties all together for the first cohesive view. Looking good! Whose primer are you using? I've been bouncing around lately.

Sure does! I've been using Games Workshop's primer ever since I started painting really. But, I'd like to give airbrush primers a chance, as I the think the added control you can have with the airbrush would be beneficial. But, that requires an airbrush compressor, and funds are kinda tight heh ??????

@ Sik Willy - HAHAHAHA!! Thanks! Got me motivated!!

Was playing around with some basing materials this evening, and thought I'd try an experiment with GW's Stirland mud; wanted to see what kinda texture I'd get once it dried. Threw on some ballast, sea grass, some kinda stick plant that smelled like fish food, sagebrush twigs, and some tea leaves from a dry tea bag. This experiment turned out better than intended, especially since I was just throwing things together!! LOL

I think I have kind of the same disease as you: I can build bases all day... unfortunately, I also have a ton of minis waiting to be painted which should receive love too...
