What happens with no armor saves vs Hardened or shieldwall?

What happens when attack does not allow armor saves and defender has shield wall or hardened ability that blocks hits?

There seems to be lot of different wordings for no saves that also cause interpretation whether some attacks are stronger than others and thus bypass defences while others do not.
- Dragon fire
- Giant swing
- Precision
- Mountain that rides & Pyromancers
- Mountain, wrothing behemoth and Lord Tywin’s mad dog and commander

First thing first, there is no such thing as an Armor Save. You roll defense dice to block Hits. Unblocked Hits become Wounds.

There is no interpretation if something causes Wounds or Hits. They are different things and each ability you listed is different in how it functions.

1. Dragon's Attacks state instead of rolling defense dice, the defender suffers direct Wounds. Shield Wall and Hardened block Hits. The Dragons attacks don't care if the Hit was blocked or not, only that it was generated. They don't interact with Wounds at all.

2. Mighty Swing. Same as above. If it causes any Hits it converts them into Wounds. Doesn't matter if those Hits were blocked or not.

3. Precision says for each roll of 6 the defender suffers 1 Wound. Again, this is a Wound, not a Hit. Neither Shield Wall or Hardened interact with it.

4. Mountain that rides and Pyromancers state the defender does not roll defense dice these are still generating Hits, ergo can be affected by both Shield Wall and Hardened.

5. Same as previous answer.
