Hi, whenever I try to blend using pastel colors such as light blue or even white I find the paint becomes very chalky and it is hard to get a smooth coverage. This usually happens with glazing, or two brush blending. Am I just not thinning it down correctly? It seems for darker or mid tone...

Hi, I was wondering if anyone had any tips for painting a blue object source lightning effect on a red surface. It is my understanding that object source lightning is better on a darker (grey?) surface. Just wanted to see if anyone has done blue over red and if the effect was worthwhile. Thanks!
