Dispatches has great lines from US Special forces 'Uppers to cut the trail, downers to go down it.' It has been described as the best book about the Vietnam war.

I'll dredge my way through my book back-log (three year olds and reading alot do not go together), I have a look at those books.

No, I'll check that out. You'll enjoy the history of Hunter thingy. I'll check out that book. I read a comic not long ago I absolutely detested that was trying to have a Hunter "Raoul Duke" character transposed in a political futuristic setting by Warren Ellis. It was called Transmetropolitan and I just hated it. Like Hunter, but without the fun, just pure cynicism. I'll check out Dispatches for sure. TY!

Have you read 'Dispatches' by Michael Herr, he's like Hunter S Thompson but he's in the Vietnam war! Strangely a Rolling Stone journalist.

Did you read that Oral Biography of Hunter? Some funny blurbs in there from Sonny Barger (He's not a fan!) and some funny Johnny Depp stories. A good read!
