I found Tin Soldier today.
Its full of minis.
And paints.
But its only got a few Confrontation things.
Must resist...
I restrained myself and only bought dollies to start practising sculpting, unfortunately my restraining involved buying Vampire cards...
Damn.
I\'ve also started on...
I\'m looking at my desk and it\'s filling up with half finished stuff, I currently have:
1 old school Jez Goodwin chaos sorceror
15 Iron breakers
12 Dwarf crossbowmen
the first 2 Harbinger minis
a pile of SoB
A blooddragon vampire count
Skaven Queek haedtaker
My nurgle spawn conversion
a dwarf...
Its taken a long time, but he\'s finally finished. I tried really hard with this one to come up with something worthy of CMON, hope you like it...

I\'m going to be starting a slaaneshy warhammer army. I intend to spend quite a bit of time on it.
One of the first things I\'ll need to do is the bases, I want something that stands out from the usual green grass and mud. I\'m not sure what to do and would appreciate some ideas/suggestions...
As usual comments welcome :bouncy:

(I\'ve just remembered its daylight savings tonight, 1 hour less sleep, aaarrgggh)
OK so this is a blatant gloat, but I just spent half an hour chatting to Mark Harrison about sculpting. He was in the Sydney Battle Bunker along with Gav (who was being slaughtered at warhammer) prior to Oz games day tomorrow.
Apparently it takes anywhere from a few days to a week to do a 28mm...
I saw the new bretonnian knight plastics today, and they are gorgeous, new horses (with 4 different heads), ball joins for riders heads so you can angle them, various plain armoured and unarmoured heads (so you can do errant knights etc), and an arm holding a bird of prey, very cool.
I\'ve finally got round to putting up a couple of pics of some more recent paintwork of mine (rather than the decade old stuff I had up so far).
Would like some comments and suggestions for improvement.
Grey Knight
Keith Flint the Preacher
Well I\'ve almost finished the converting, any suggestions on improvements before I start painting?
(oh and its stuck together with blu-tac at the moment if you\'re wondering what those white lumps are)

One of my older minis, he has no comments and is feeling left out.
Edit: putting a link in might help [url=http://www.coolminiornot.com/?id=22250[/url]
Just bought 4 of them, the new bottles are sooo much better, open really easily. Not tried painting with them yet, but they smell differently so might be different composition.
I\'m doing a conversion for Aus golden demon, I want it to be the best I can do so I\'ve come to the best for some advice...

OK so this is a WIP, and I\'m posting to get some suggestions on how I should proceed. I\'ve got lots of ideas, but I\'m avoiding...
I\'ve just posted a pic of my first attempt at sculpting in greenstuff, would love to hear comments and suggestions for improvement from everyone. Its a Nurgle Spawn, and yes those funny blobs on its body are supposed to be faces...

There\'s lots of inspiration on this site, but I thought it would be interesting to have a inspiration thread, where we share ideas for conversions, dioramas, themed armies etc.
I know I have far more ideas than I ever have time to do, so here\'s a few to start the ball rolling.
1) Imperial...
I\'m looking for a good matt varnish.
I find the most durable finish for gaming is given by using gloss enamel varnish, but when I try to use GW spray matt varnish to dull this down it still looks shiny.
I find that the paint on humbrol matt varnish gives variable results (seems to start off...
