I am currently painting a brown sash. I want to create the feel that th emini is old and has worn the sash a long time, and it has been through a lot of wear, and battles. Does anyong have any idea as to how I go about ageing/weathering it. Blood marks, rips etc? Thanks in advance.

Has anyone got any idea how to go about painting gunpowder burns etc? I\'ve thought about stippling, but even using a very fine brush I think the specks would look too chunky. Using a wash seems like it would be too smooth. Anyone?
