Hello Everybody

THE UKCORD Will be holding it\'s first Open/international on the weekend of the 9th and 10th of September.

Can you copy and post the information belo0w on your Forums please?

The 2006 UKCORD Open Championships will be held on 9th and 10th September at Colours 2006, Newbury Racecource.

The event will be a combination of the UK Championships and the UK Open. (Yes, we have checked it\'s OK.)

It will consist of 5 rounds played over 2 days. 3 the first day and 2 the second.

We have 60 places available with 20 of those being reserved for International players. If we get a massive interest we will look at increasing those numbers.

Cost of entry will be £15 which will get you entry into the Tournament as well as access to the show for the 2 days.

Anyone wishing to enter will need to book their place and pay for it ASAP... we expect high demand. To do this contact Finn Mac Cool who will be handling all registration queries.

Army lists should be submitted to Lupus no later than 10 days before the event. (Small note as we expect lots of entries: 1 army list per person. Changes can obviously be made up to 10 days before the event.)

Other things to be aware of:

There will be prizes awarded and a full list will be posted closer to the date but the important thing to be aware of is because we are combining 2 tournaments there are the following:

1st UK Open
2nd UK Open
3rd UK Open

Everyone is eligible to win these whether a member or not, UK or international and are calculated on the best scores after two days.

1st UK Championships
2nd UK Championships
3rd UK Championships

These are the first 3 UKCORD placed members on the day and they will qualify for the invitation to the Rackham International event. Yes you could in theory win 1st in both if you are a UKCORD member and score the highest.

The event will be a non-ranking event so the scores will not count towards the National Rankings.

There will be a number of other prizes which will be posted at a later date.

One other point....for the purposes of the event an individual\'s status will be as of the start of the tournament. If you are not a UKCORD member when the tournament starts then even if you join half way through you will still be counted as a non-member for the prizes. (So join before the event, though it\'s not mandatory.)

As we are holding an international event then there will be a social event on the Saturday night open to all who want to take part... again more details closer to the event.

The times, scenarios, and prizes for the first UKCORD open.

Day 1

9.00am-10.00am registration.
10.15am-11.45am Scenario 1: The 3 Bridges
11.45am-12.50pm Lunch
1.00pm-2.45pm Scenario 2: Timber
3.00pm-4.45pm Scenario 3: Hostage

The rest of the day is for you to wonder around the Colours Event.

In the Evening we will hopefully be doing something but that is
to be decided nearer the date.

Day 2

9.30am-11.15am Scenario 4: Arsonists
11.30am-1.15pm Scenario 5 Take The Position
