    I am ignorant but...

    What does \"IRL\" stand for in regards to a painting technique? It\'s a new one to me and one that I\'ve only just started seeing here. Does it refer to a more realistic style of shading and highlighting? Is it akin to \"hyper-realism\"? Just wondering.

    Large scale base question.
