What kind of stuff you looking for? I really have only seen historical figures (from just about every age period, though), but never any kind of fantasy or sci-fi stuff in this range.

I know that Italeri and Revel make pretty extensive lines in this scale. The Italeri models are actually really well done, and I noticed that in the box of Celts I picked up, there was a \"hero\" type on one sprue.

If you know of any fantasy line in this scale, pleeeeease let me know!

If you\'re looking for fantasy 1/72 you\'re probably out of luck. But, try looking for 20mm which is basically the same height. Some of the older \"25mm\" figs ran small - especially Denizen (which are still available) so they\'re about the size you want. Fortunately, given the vagaries of the human species you can slop around with figure height and not have a mini flagrantly out of place (ok, a 77mm figure would be out of place among 25mm).

Thanks, I\'ll have to see if I can dig up some Denizen stuff and compare it to see if it\'s not too far off. I can always get just non-human stuff, so as long as their dwarves don\'t wind up being as tall as the humans, it should be ok. ;)

Possibly helpful article

So, I got a response over in alt.rec.wargagmes.misc, and thought I\'d share it here.

Looks like there really isn\'t a specific manufacturer for fantasy 1:72, but there are ways around this using conversion and a little ingenuity.

This site has some helpful ideas on what models can be used as starting points for conversions (or, in some cases, just make acceptable proxies). It also has a link to an article about making command troops, so may be helpful there.

Found some! (kinda)

Well, looks like there is some very limited fantasy type stuff available in 1/72, and only because of a new boardgame.

Age of Mythology Boardgame is based on the computer game, and contains a bunch of figures (300!). From what I have been able to tell, the sculpts are decent.

Looks like you can buy single sprue \"replacements\" from them, too, for 3 bucks a pop. I may have to get some of these and give them a try. Looks like there could definitely be some \"character types\" in there for Greek, Egyptian, or Nordic hero types.
