Congratulations the entries were incredible I missed out on at least a quarter of the stands because I was looking at the cabinets for so long! Is there any chance you could reveal where you get your plaques for your bases made, and where you buy your bases from I'm not having much luck finding any based in the UK?

I purchase most of the plinths at shows and the name plaques can be ordered from..... er I've forgot the place, Andy help, you know it :)

and he really enjoyed it Dave :)

Now the calm sets in after a competition and its time to evaluate after checking out all the great work. As usual its the contrast issue, more, more, more. Also (as I mentioned on Baileys wip) trying to incorporate a story or a message or even just a item to add to the world of the scene your setting. Anyway more WIP on the gobbo with (you guessed it) more contrast and more colours glazed on the skin. Also a little blue mushroom using my new Scale 75 blues lol. :) Also you will notice with this gobbo and with vorag ive been working on the base and mini at the same time, both changing and evolving with each other - I recommend you try it !

I like how the blue mushroom creates a triangle of color with the wart and blue around the eye. You could do something similar on the other side if you added a touch of red to the base to mesh with the red of the ear and nose.

I'm very excited to see where this new direction takes you. I think the additions of tiny points of bright color really add a lot of interest. Subtlety will be key, but I'm positive that you can pull it together.

The extra contrast & saturation is really doing the trick for the gobo! Had you thought about giving him a bit of a freckly nose?
