Seriously...I wish I knew how to paint like this... I would love to paint some of my Ilyad minis with this NMM color scheme! Superb work, sir, superb!!

The secret is practice. I am still weak at NMM but after painting my whole LOKA set in NMM (albeit very quick and dirty) I understand it a lot better now.

Foxtail ive added a few brush strokes on the axes for you :)

Looks loads better buddy!

Not sure whether it's just me, but the thigh armour seems to look lighter and glossier than the shoulder armour. It all looks ridiculously good of course, but I thought you might appreciate some amateur criticism :)

Thanks all.
foxtail yep the ive kind of done it on purpose using blending on the legs at stippling above. Two reasons , to practice different techniques and to try and represent armour in different stages of where/condition.

i think you should try to brighten up the helmet a bit, right now the legs sparkle more than the head. but painting so far is pretty much spot on :good:

Love it Lee, really nice work.
Im in the Swedish chef camp, brighter helmet and also a touch more on the shoulders. The high on the belly plate is a lot brighter.

(sound of my jaw hitting the floor)

The start of the steels next to the ??? metals just takes this to another level entirely! Ok, I now grant you it's a great model!

The king of nmm is at it again.

Sounds weird, but I'm really looking forward to you starting his massive boots.

They are just unfeasibly large boots.

Very nice mate, very very nice. I would still be tempted for a bright spot highlight on the helmet. Your choice though as you may have other plans. Those horns on the helmet could even by a nice OSL source.
