I was going to have a week off painting but only managed a few days. Moonmin sent me this little robot as a gift so I thought I would ease myself back into the painting zone with him.
Looks a bit messy at the moment. Ive named him wingnut.

Ya know, since you couldn't wait. Hey 10, maybe just blend him some more. I'm concerned he might look a little flat if you smooth him out too much (deafening silence in 3, 2, ...) :silly:

Zab - thats the exact colour im after

Sparx - Thanks, with my bases I try and incorporate the mini with the base, meaning the correct environment for the mini / scene. For inspiration I use real life and other peoples work from CMON and other forums.

The bases can be made real simple with just sand and flock or REAL complex with water effects, snow etc but the trick is not to let the base overtake the mini (which ive failed at before).
I use loads of different materials, blue tak, wall filler, plaster, dirt ......

Lots of problems this week, so ive found from experience not to paint minis but do base work when stressed !
Been working on a base for a empire command group that ive been planning / painting for ever.
Incorporating the duelist from last year, he needs a repaint to incorporate the red colours of the other two.
