Thanks all, he was primed White then base coated VMC brown sand, then shaded with VMC dark flesh, browns and puples.
Then started the highlights by GW bugmans glow to the brown sand.
Then further with VMC ivory.
He is still only half way done.

I just picked up couple of ebay reaper paint lots too...

That head looks like Andrea box art. Pretty solid start to your next project. I really like how you've gotten some glassy translucence to the eyes.

So not to open up old wounds, but 10, you got skunked at Salut? Are you still taking the Straken squad to the Golden Demons?

I really like how things are going with your Warrior Priest you've made a seriously good start. Looks like you're back and in the zone!
I shall have to get myself some of the VMC Brown Sand as my next project will be the Uncle John bust from infamy and I was wondering what to use as a base colour.

Demi - Yes I will be taking the squad to GDUK but I can not bring myself to even look at the blasted thing at the moment.

Just thought I would post the overall bust. Its approx 50mm high.

The face on that bust looks great! You should clearly keep doing larger scale figures.

Oh, and I'm so happy to see his head isn't wedged into a vise like poor Urmuth's foot. :tongue:

You know, I was just about to tell you that you need to start a painting blog, when I saw that you have one already. Excellent. Unfortunately, now I'll be reading it the next few hours instead of improving my own gold NMM.
