you are always welcome here sir, the prime Oklahoma beef is worth the plane ticket. Maybe we do a home and home series, I just got my passport renewed.

Thanks all :)

Khonner - the leather has been cross hatched with load of thin strokes and glazed over with reds & yellows.

Mike - If im ever over in the US I will take up your offer mate :)

Over the last few nights ive been working on this base. The plan is to build up the trees / plants a lot more with the mini standing on the bridge.
There will be fish on the surface when the next layer of resin goes in, with reeds / plants all over. The water colour was done by mixing turquoise & green in with the water effect.
The bamboo has just been started at the back.

goodness gracious! This is looking great sir. A happy monk figure would be awesome on there. Actually anything would look good on that base. I am loving this.

Whatever mini you go with, I hope they are not fat because that dock looks treach-ER-russ!!!!

My guess is one of those Bayou gremlins from Wyrd/Malifaux.

The most mind blowing part of it all? The whole vignette is edible!!!

Fecks sake I turn my back for five minutes and you turn into some kind of painting savant!!! good work is an understatement (smartarse) ;) suppose if I look in on Mr G he's likely the same. suppose this is what happens when you take your eye off the ball lol.

Really like this new scene, your attention to detail on your bases is fantastic ! Did you paint the goldfish on the resin or are they modelled in ?

I love going away and coming back a few weeks later to see all this crazy stuff going on from everyone. I really like the bowl idea - brilliant!! Look forward to see what the mini is to, I am betting the buddha, but who knows?? The warrior priest bust kicks butt and the barbarian mini, a great sculpt, is looking great to! It's all good mate!

sweet! no risk of leakage in that bottle anyway lol. i think you might have overkilled the amount of leaves on the bambooo, and they look kind of static. but its hard to judge on images.

no idea of the mystery mini but my guess its a SPACE MARINE!!!!

I wish it was a space marine (the contrast would be great ) ... but I do think it is the monk standing on one leg from I dont know which company :)

Thanks all :) I didnt plan on making it a mystery but its turning out to be fun :)

Wargames - the fish were added then the resin poured over in several lighter layers to give the appearance of depth.

Skel - I know what you mean about the bamboo looking static but I dont know how to really change that, maybe it we look better when ive painted them. I purposley made the trees thick to try and give the appearance that its a hidden fishing place, only know to a lone fisherman from the local village.
