I sure like your idea behind this, seeing the skel in place makes it even better. I have never understood how curry ranks up there with fish and chips as a national dish for you guys. Whats the deal with that? (I am sure I could google it but would rather hear it from a native)
Curries have developed into a national dish due to the influx of immigrant peoples from the Indian Subcontinent starting after WWII. Ditto Chinese food.
But with the amount of rubbish on our streets you'd think McDogoburgers were the only food source available.

Lamb or Chicken Pasanda, Keema rice, Peshwary Naan, side order of Onion Bhaji's, Mango Chutney, onion relish and Rathia. Now You're Talkin!

Thanks all :)

Bloodfather - its the scenery sprinkles you can get with model railway stuff. Its best to get a few small bags of different colours to try out. Spray the root (one end) with a spray glue and sprinkle over.

Well ive listened to all the advice and toned down the skele yellows, added some weathering to the material inspired by the weathering on Sprokets bust. (bit small to see on the photos).
Glazed with more shadow greys. Tried to paint the skeleton in a style of Stefan's way.
So nearly done I reckon :)

Great work on the shirt & all the toning down on the skell just finishes it off perfectly. This is a very impressive piece & your best work yet - really looking forward to seeing it in person!

You did a nice job toning down the colors on the right. The whole scene looks great! Very cool idea and well executed.

Excellent! I love it, it remembers me my small diorama about life and death but in much smaller and much better!

One question, how did you do the tree? I am able to do the tree structure using metal wires then some milliput or whatever resin, but for the flocage I never really tried. How do you apply the glue? multiple layers? Can you paint over? Because the flocage I have is goblin green and only one color so it does look like a plastic tree, do you have any tips? Maybe using airbrush over?
I would love to know because the tree is really adding a lot to this diorama.

Cheers all :)

Ive had a lot of questions about the tree, I might do an article :)

Boubi - Its a plant root from the garden, if you get just the right size / type it look just like a tree. Wash the earth off, paint in desired colour (sometimes the colour is correct as is), then spray with permanent spray adhesive (like the stuff for sticking carpets down) then sprinkle with desired flock.

To get the right look you will need to experiment with a few types of flock, the type you get in little bags for model railways are good, its best to just try some out.
