Holy hells batman! If that's your start to him I think I'm going to be in love with yet another one of your projects.

Cheers bgc.
MeatyN- I love em, Andy loves em, skele knows people who absolutely HATE them.
I would say they do take a lot of getting use to.

Love what you've done so far, and thanks for sharing the color recipe for the skin! I think it's interesting you chose to do the base first. Is this your standard operating procedure for scenic bases, or just how it happened this time?

Thanks. The more I paint the more I'm realising the importance of the base. Not just that it must look good but that it must compliment the mini in style, colours, mood etc. Also making a mini fit a base can be awkward so I've found it easier to get them both ready before the painting.

With Vorag I'm going with cold colours on the base, blues , whites, greys and the mini warm colours. Just got so involved with the base and was enjoying it.

PS - Absolutely LOVE your GD entry with the soldier that's had the wrong leg cut off - wonderful!

Awesome looking figure. The colors you've used for the skin are perfect and that's coupled with great dynamic highlighting and shading.
