Been upping the contrast on the metals as suggested and been working on the axe, one side nearly done.
Ive been using a mix of orange / black as a shading colour that brings a warmth to the axes metal.
That is a pretty looking axe. And I need to thank you because I've been sitting here for months staring at a model with a gigantic, oversized, axehead and this has given me some guidance for painting it.
the axe is looking pretty rad so far ten, the flat smooth look really gives your eyes a well needed break from the insane amount of detail onthe rest of the sculpt
Dave - yeah ive added a few glazes of orange to warm the black keeping the warm v cool - metals v skin theme.
Half way through the other side of the axe now, should finish tonight.:clap:
Looking over my entries for Salute last night and spotted id forgot to paint a small part of the chaos lord !! So must correct that. :doh:
Vorag still has my attention ... because he is freaking awesome!
A beautiful paint job (your best to date I think) and a stunning base they come together to make something quite special.
Oh, and shame on you, get that sword hilt painted!
