Anyway as my thread has been hijacked by Swedish hobby terrorists I though I might post some WIP.

After some pure ivory highlights the skin is finished now. Ive also lighten up the dark shadows on his abs (Andy was waving his arms about and shouting at me to lighten them up a bit)
Also glazed some blues on the tattoo.

Really nice work, even more impressive when you consider the small scale of this guy. Excellent skin tones. Only critique I have is that the tattoo on his arm looks to be the same shade all around. It's probably just the picture, but it's worth taking a look at it again. Getting the contrast range of the design to match the contrast range of the background is something I still struggle with.

Bailey i've increase the contrast on the tattoo as suggested but the photo don't really tell, as you say its damn small.

Been working on the metals using a stipple method like sproket. The colours are mix that Andys been using on his mini.

Look mate I'm sorry you've got to get a 3D printer and print your face and be brave with a scalpel chop off that models head and wack you're own on; its a must!

other than that metals are looking v nice I'm going to stipple on next mini to try the technique

Yep im liking the stipple, Ive done it on material loads but never thought it suitable for metals but after talking to Dave and looking at Nakatans work im looking forward to practicing more with it.
