Lee, you're considerably more muscle-y than I had imagined.
Painting is top notch. However, it's bullsh*t that you and the rest of the Britishers seem to be inventing a new method of NMM before I've even gotten up the nerve to tackle the 'traditional' method of smooth blending. It looks amazing!

Very nice work there the sword blade is great and the stippled metals are spot on. I might be tempted to push the contrast a soup son more on the gold hilt but personal preference there.

I absolutely love the figure, 10, but I think you're doing him an injustice with that base. Simplicity makes sense, as it keeps the focus on the miniature, and the snow seems like a fit, but the vertical grooves in the rock don't feel natural to me at all. Feel free to disregard my impressions and trust your gut, but I think you've got a superb figure here and your bases lately have been outstanding.

saint- yeah your probably right. was going to have the snow lower but changed my mind .
Not going risk damaging the mini now trying to remove it.

Well I think its just a crease in the skin but as the mini is so small ive gone crazy on the contrast to make it pop.

Good luck! Use your enormous muscles to pry him lose, should be no problem for a man of your formidable strength.
I was just curious about that line, since I saw that Avicenna's version had the same exact feature but I couldn't exactly pin down what it was.
I really like the spray of snow you've got coming off the back foot.

Way to go, 10! The rock formations look way more realistic, and I think the skulls you've hidden look perfect with the very high fantasy look of the mini. Because there's a decent amount of space beneath him, I might add e.g. a broken spear or splintered shield. His haste seems to suggest that he's rushing toward a situation just ahead, but his generally calm face and lack of blood/guts all over his weapon and the ground might put him on the outskirts of the conflict. Obviously, that suggestion is just an idea, and I think you have substantially improved the piece already, certainly to the point where you can call it done. This one is a real beauty!

Oh yeah this base is as awesome as the mini. You need to get the Thrudd the barbarian guest artist set from cmon...or I you could paint mine up like this! Lol :)

The first base was nice(ish) but the new base is epic! It makes a huge difference and all of it for the better! It sets the mini off perfectly.
