Happy new year everyone :)
Well not much painting over the last few weeks. Daughter had complications after her tonsil op which was scary to say the least but has turned out ok in the end.
added with stress from work after handing my notice in, which my boss didnt take kindly to AT ALL!
added with a failing mojo on the third harlequin so taking some good advice and painting this lovely mini (kindly sent by andy, thanks mate) by black sun miniatures, 35mm.

I carnt tell you what a pleasure it has been to just start on the base and prep the mini after a three week no painting break.

I'm working through some burn out too. Don't take all the crap life throws at us too seriously; no one gets out alive anyway ;) Glad to see you back at it.

Glad to hear your daughter's on the mend now, soon to be ex bosses can be a RICHARD CRANIUM. Life can seem overwhelming at times but it's how we handle the situation that makes us stronger, don't worry about what you can't control, and make the most of time with loved ones.
Now onto the serious stuff new model looks great and will hopefully help with the motivation to get on with the harlequins

Thanks all.
The water was sculpted in milliput using the rounded end of a paint brush to press the wave effects. painted in scale 75 deep blue, field grey, turquoise & ivory.
Vallejo water effects was added only to the surface with glass micro beads, i followed master sprokets water base on gutrot as an excellent reference

Hey 10, good to see you around. Sorry about your personal challenges lately. I hope 2017 isn't slow about giving you something to feel happy about!

Your latest figure is looking awesome. Your experiments with Sproket's water technique are looking lovely. The darker blue creates a much colder, more northern feel, appropriate for the figure. It looks as if the water drops off into some depth immediately. The whole thing is just incredible, especially alongside your great NMM. Maybe it's NCW, non-clear-water effects. In any event, I agree that the base is looking amazing. Add me to the list of potential technique-thieves!

Looking awesome ball! Skin is coming along nicely; love the blue veins! And it hardly needs to be said at this point, but the water effects are top notch.

It's a great idea to start something fresh when your mojo fails! The only reason I managed to complete a unit of plaguebearers was that I worked on them between other projects.

The new mini looks great and you've done a brilliant job on the waves!
