Figure's starting to look cool, 10! I like the decision to try copper. The ornate armor bits and the psycho hammer almost make me think he's a vengeful blacksmith or something! Nice job on the blonde hair, too, especially at that scale.

Thanks mate.
The blond hair was a challenge, I went simple with a base coat of ivory then careful application of sepia ink.

I don't know how you can paint so well on such a small scale, brilliant piece ! And the base at that small scale, so cool.

thanks all :)

I know Mike its been bothering me also. its because of the blue iris and blue glaze under the eye added with the small size and my iphone camera just carnt hold the scale/detail

This post/photo is also a test as im leaving my job in two weeks and wont have access to all the fancy new apples and photoshop etc at work so this post & photo was done on a 9 year old ibook, with 10 year photoshop, :watermelon:
so finger crossed it looks ok !

I think you are doing a great job with the painting. The water looks great and the veins in the arms are impressive.

What my eyes keep getting drawn to is how he's holding the hammer. It looks a little awkward. I can't quite put my finger on it though. Is is the head of the hammer at an odd angle, the angle of the picture, or just a limitation of the mold and pose? I may be wrong altogether as it's always difficult to judge a figure from a W.I.P.

Thanks

@ Captain - Agreed! Ive altered the hammer position. :)

In my continued effort for more contrast / colour / overall POP! ive gone a bit crazy with the pinks but im liking the balance between warm and cold colours. Im planning thin blue strips on the legs.

also the old ibook is working fine but seems to have a mind of its own when contecting to the internet, in other words it connects when IT wants to and thats that!
