The bust you have just finished has great skin. It looks like desiccated, mummified skin. You could walk right up to him and slice yourself off a piece of jerky.

Our man 10 was generous enough to produce a tutorial documenting the creation of Shaetann’s incredible and much admired skintones. Head on over to ToadChapel to read the article he wrote. Thanks, Lee!

Amazing to see you tackling our very own (Journeyman Miniatures) Bograth the Hunter. If you guys haven’t seen the full piece it’s virtually two busts in one, based on Paul Bonners artwork from his Rackham days. This part is the mammoth head that you see..
As one of my inspirational artists, I’m really looking forward to this version. I’ve about finished mine.

Damn Andy you are knocking these subtle skin variations out of the park. The elephant head and beast man bust are simply beautiful works of art.

Hope you and yours are staying safe across the pond as well.

Thanks for the last tutorial. Great example of painting the translucent nature of lividity on skin. Now for one one that freakishly good elephant.....

Thanks all. Kretcher it’s from darkstar miniatures.
Well it’s been a month since the new iron skull competition I attended. Fantastic new competition I highly recommend, shaetann got a commended. As it turns out looks like it’s going to be the only competition I’m going to this year due to all the nasty business going on in the world :(

Off work for at least four weeks so been painting miniatures and painting my house ready for selling.

more wip on elephant.
